This! Seriously this! How about a beta test? Will GW2 become the MMO version of DNF?Fawxy said:Yeah that's nice but HOW ABOUT A FREAKING RELEASE DATE????
Video was still a good view; I'm certainly glad so much thought and detail is being put into this game.
ArenaNet. ArenaNet made Guild Wars and is making its sequel. NCSoft is their parent company and publisher.Double A said:Wow, blues music? Every video NCsoft makes makes me love them more and more, and I never even played GW.
Uh... How is Guild Wars 2 in development hell?Baneat said:Quick! Let's all pretend we're not in development hell!
1.They keep showing bits and pieces to construct hype over a period of time but without the final hype push that usually appears when the game is about done.Korten12 said:Uh... How is Guild Wars 2 in development hell?Baneat said:Quick! Let's all pretend we're not in development hell!
1. So that means they're still working on it.Killerbunny001 said:1.They keep showing bits and pieces to construct hype over a period of time but without the final hype push that usually appears when the game is about done.Korten12 said:Uh... 2.In many interviews "iteration" is still the key word coming out of the developer`s mouths.
3.They dropped the whole beta thing that was supposed to go live this year.
These 3 things point out usually to : OMG OMG OMG it looked better on paper !!111!!1 or, as it is more commonly known as development hell.
I'm not sure I'd call it "blues," but the banjo really does bring it all together.Double A said:Wow, blues music? Every video NCsoft makes makes me love them more and more, and I never even played GW.
Eh, I didn't know. I do now.2xDouble said:ArenaNet. ArenaNet made Guild Wars and is making its sequel. NCSoft is their parent company and publisher.Double A said:Wow, blues music? Every video NCsoft makes makes me love them more and more, and I never even played GW.
Sorry to pick nits, but saying "NCSoft makes Guild Wars" is like saying "Microsoft made Halo"... technically correct, but not accurate.
It sounds like blues to me. Vocals don't make the genre.NekoDaimyo said:I'm not sure I'd call it "blues," but the banjo really does bring it all together.Double A said:Wow, blues music? Every video NCsoft makes makes me love them more and more, and I never even played GW.
1) They actually show us some progress and how the game plays. How do skills work ? What are the classes and races looking/ playing like ? WHY did they choose this or that mechanic etc.Killerbunny001 said:1.They keep showing bits and pieces to construct hype over a period of time but without the final hype push that usually appears when the game is about done.

With the innovation and technology behind GW2, a tiny bit of content to WoW isn't going to make any bloody difference. The hardcore WoW fans won't be interested in GW2 anyway and keep playing WoW because thats their favorite. The casual players who are interested in playing with friends and don't care about WoW too much won't be interested in some new dungeon because they still got dozens of unfinished dungeons anyway.Stammer said:3. The more accurate their release date, the easier it is for Blizzard to come up with new content for WoW to come out on the exact same day.
You DO realize that multiple playable demos have been shown at various conventions, and even more new content and features are going to be shown at the upcoming PAX, right? Heck, they even had a recent "fan day" where they invited people running various fan/new sites to come to the studio, take a tour, and play the game, and they let them talk about their experiences afterward. I can't see a game in "development hell" being able to manage something like that without everyone coming away talking about what a mess the game is.Killerbunny001 said:1.They keep showing bits and pieces to construct hype over a period of time but without the final hype push that usually appears when the game is about done.Korten12 said:Uh... 1. The game isn't done yet, why on earth would they make a marketing push?Killerbunny001 said:1.They keep showing bits and pieces to construct hype over a period of time but without the final hype push that usually appears when the game is about done.
