So, Suda51's take on Dead Rising. Thats fair enough, but i have to be critical as to what kind of variety this game will offer in the way of zombie butchering mayhem, Dead Rising 2 had combo weapons, all ive seen here so far is a pink chainsaw and a gameplay style that seems to indicate 'based on Devil May Cry'.

......yet another trailer showing me why I shouldn't buy this game.

I would say this is like Shadows of the Damned in that the trailer makes everything look awesome and the game turns out to be kind of shit, but in this case the game doesn't even look good in the trailer. Based on my previous experience with Suda games and on what's been shown gameplay looks rather lackluster. Also, I'm still convinced that this is less Suda going "Alright, how about we try your average zombie game and add something just plain balls-to-the-wall crazy" and more "I can't believe what these gamers have let me get away with so far! Let's see if I can make something both wierd and lazy and still have them cheer me on!"

In short, I won't be fooled by your tricks again Suda.

I don't know whether to be happy that Tara Strong is a voice in another video game, or horrified that she's voicing a vapid libby Cali accent schoolgirl. Largely I'm horrified because that is one vapid accent.

I'd say this is a kinda interesting game in ways. In the "heh, that's funny in a kind pathetic way" like what drives people to play random arcade games. A quick burst of embarrassing silly campiness. I don't know whether to laugh or cringe when watching this stuff, and I frequently alternate between the two. I think I might give it a buy used for around $10 for the "silly arcade" factor. It's easier to look past this sort of thing, because it's a zombie game, zombies have always been campy exploitation stuff.

Also, the facial design of the main character is obviously very well crafted. As is always the case from Japanese games. And they show it off at every opportunity(obviously, because she's a sex object). I don't know exactly why pretty much every company in Japan has turned facial design into an exact aesthetic science while companies like Bioware and Bethesda don't, but it's very clear they put a lot of hours into the facial designs of characters. She has a very realistic nose, ears, eyes, and even hair. And also unrealistic because she has ultra-supermodel face. And did they seriously put that much detail into just her lip gloss?

You can think what you want about Japanese games and the industry today. But surely you can't deny they love faces and seem to put a lot of time and talent into designing them. I mean, not that there aren't any Western companies that seem to love designing faces. But every Japanese company seems to love designing faces. I blame anime dipping into other media. As the defining feature of anime and Japanese pop culture aesthetics seems to be an utter obsession with facial aesthetics.

That was legitimately pretty impressive, in a camp sort of way. I would like some gameplay though. I think my favourite part is swan's voice. It just screams weirdo who shouldn't have been in highschool for this long. It's like my immortal had a baby that was taken away from it's mother by child support and is trying get along with its estranged father who doesn't love her; or some crap holy hell similes are boring to write. Looking forward to it though.

Seriously, this game is embarrassing. Even if you buy and play it and find it hilariously fun, you've got to admit it horrible, absolutely horrible and filthy. It's just... it's just shameful, it really is.

Really, it's like a disgusting trainwreck. It's absolutely shameful, and yet hilariously fascinating. So much so that even the fact it's self aware just seems to make it all the more horrifying somehow. Is it a joke? Can the joke of a joke be taken as a joke or does it pop right back into to messed right up and unlovable? Does saying "haha sex and violence" really count as a joke? How can I even attempt to make a coherent sentence about this... thing?

I don't know but it's nasty and you're better start taking Katamari Damacy deadly serious right now because so many levels of wrong have just taken that game's silliness and cut it into pieces. And wipe your conscious clean of all the sexploitation by watching porn. I swear it's probably easier to not feel dirty while watching porn. And Tommy Wiseau.

You have no right to speak that way when you haven't played it, much less a demo. There's been misleading trailers for countless things. Will it be full of fanservice? Maybe. Will it be trashy? Maybe. Everythings a maybe. How you can call it a trainwreck is what's beyond ridiculous.
