Whatever, just wash your hands.
thats an awful lot of build up for the kind of game that never works the way they intend

I'll buy that.

To elaborate (and avoid mod wrath ;-) the Crytek name goes a long way with me. They have yet to let me down, and this looks like an awesome way to use Kinect.

Ummm... yeah... fascinating concept, but in all honesty, three hours of flailing, headbutting and kicking, seems rather exhausting, without the efficiency of a trip to gym.... Honestly, after working in and eleventy billion degree kitchen all day, running back and forth for eight hours... I just can't see myself coming home to do... this. Well, to those that can, cheers, hope it functions well and becomes a truly immersion experience.

I was thoroughly disappointed though, when this happened to NOT be a full blow wrpg set in classical era Rome, I would've had a blast with that.

Aw, so I don't get to play as the corpse-eating dog?

Damnit.

If I owned a Xbox360, a Kinect and a TV, I would probably check this out. I don't suppose anyone has some spare...?

Yeah, if I owned a Kinect and all that, I'd get it too. Looks interesting enough, and this is exactly the kind of game I REALLY want to work.

Captcha: she's a witch. Weird, that's pretty much a description of a girl I want to ask out. Bizarre.

"This is Rome..."
Wooot? Not Sparta? -1!

Still, this is at least a good thing for motion games; gore always makes stuff better :)
Not that I will ever buy a Kinect, lol.

I actually really, really, like this.
We need more games set in historical eras about Egyptians or Romans or something!
Seriously, it be such a great change from space marines or even the Tolkien-esque fantasy stuff (And yes I do realize the minor irony here).

That said, the flaws with Kinect and the whole premise of motion controls is fully on display here: When I play a game, I want to BE LOOKING AT THE FREAKIN GAME. Not down at the floor (while headbutting) or rolling around or whatever the heck they want me to be doing with friggen kinect. This point is only increased by the fact this is made by Crytech who is well known for their good graphics.

Seriously, as great as the Kinect is, its just no good for gaming until they can come up with a holodeck of some sort.

And, to paraphrase Yahtzee... this is all pointless without any sort of physical feedback.

This game has a lot of potential even though I'm not really sold on the Kinect. Loved the whole buildup as well, but was feeling bad for the dog along the way (too much of a dog lover).

Is it just me, or did they rip the "graffiti comes to life" thing straight from Rome the show?

If you can use a normal controller I might get it, otherwise I'll stick to LRP for my "realistic" swordplay games.

I wonder why they didn't just go all the way and name it Cryse?

Care to see my train of thought?

"Awwww, doggyyyyy! Cuddly-uddly-wuddly... Oooooo, we get to butcher our way through ancient Romeaaaaaaawwww damn. It's a Kinect game."

Not buying that thing, Microsoft. Seriously.
