Was the 64 part of the title really necessary? Well, presumably to avoid confusion with the SNES title. That's what happens when you name your games after the console they're released for for half a decade, Nintendo.

Rebuilt from the ground up, everything in it is new.

Only some of the stuff is new. Most of it seems to be from the original, but the voices are new and I don't recognize some of the levels and bosses.
