Any thoughts on the new album? I liked it. Not wonderful, but at least it wasn't boring.

Didn't know who they were [small][sub](Don't judge me)[/sub][/small]........so I gave it a listen.
That is a pretty eclectic punk record and one of the better straight up punk albums I've heard in a while.

Definitely wasn't all fantastic but nothing ever stuck me as out of place or boring.
Also I see they are doing a tour with Dropkick Murphy's and I would go to the shit out of that concert.

Good stuff.

Wow, if you haven't heard them before, listen to Operation Ivy, it's pretty much them as teenagers. The lyrics will most likely change the way you see the world.

Then listen to Out Come The Wolves.

I did put Out come the wolves on the "to listen" list. Mostly because of the title.
I snobbed punk a bit in the 00s because of pop-punk and ignorance.

That kind of old school punk doesn't really do it for me in the way it used to do. I think the main problem I have is that I got into Leatherface [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=deUYdveJziI]. There's not tremendous variation within this style of punk, and since I basically found that nobody did it as well as Leatherface, there wasn't as much point listening to the others any more. While there's a lot of punk that does still excite me (PUP [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fpkBwyiMGZQ], METZ [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MNoIKQCVfyY], and Idles [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=onrO9juuZbo], for example), there's always going to be that certain part that died for me the day I first heard Springtime.

Wow, I feel old. Indestructible was the most recent of their albums that I bought.

I might give this new one a listen though I will likely still say that "Life Won't Wait" remains the best album any punkrock band has ever made.
