Yup, this came up about this time last year - we all have profiles on other Defy Media sites, whether we have ever visited them or not. I recall people asking for accounts to be removed from all these other sites but apparently it can't be done without nuking you from all Defy stuff, which would take an ungodly amount of effort with the number of sites they run. Given my age I find the fact I have a teen.com account creepy as hell, but I'm never going to visit to see for myself if there is an option of deleting the damn thing.

Wow, this site. What little there was in the forums was actually kind of hilarious, it's almost too bad the forums are a ghost. How come the Escapist doesn't have a 'secrets' subforum where I can post about all my hawt crushes?

I see there is also a lol news section containing all the best rofls for today's teen like "That's So Raven Jokes That Prove It's the Dirtiest Show." Because that's what the young folk want now days, photoshopped jokes about a show that's been off the air for 9 years.

I'm pretty sure all sites use the same database[footnote]most likely MySQL [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MySQL][/footnote]. Even if they have separate databases, changes to one would have to be automatically propagated so it would be essentially the same.

Well..Ok this is going to sound VERRY strange but here it is: I feel like i have a second person in me.Why? Well because she talks to me.Not just me talking to myself but she actually responds to what i think or feel or how i act towards people.She can be very sweet and caring but alot of the time she makes me feel self consience about how i look. Seriously though, Sasha has like a whole complete different life then me. She started out when she was 5 into beauty peagents and later on ballet. She won all of her peagents and had her manager ( aka her moms bestfriend a world renown ex supermodel) sell every dress she won for millions of dollars to random rich people who wanted them. Later on everyone had started to notice that Sasha had a not only beauty but a wonderful voice and so at age 11 she decide to open her own record label with the money she saved from which she was 5 and started her music career. It turned out succssful! Now she is 15 yrs old (Like myself) OH YEA, She was born December 5. Anywho her and her dad don?t get along very well because he?s this bible over religous guy and he feels guilty that he didn?t stop her success in the ?world? but she still thrives and loves her father and mother and two sisters. And this is my confession about my inner person.

Ooookaaayy...i am unsure what type of site that is, nor do i care to find out. But last time i spent more than an hour around more than one teenager conferring amongst each other, i had to suppress the greatest urge to slap all of them, and my past teenage self in the face. It was horrible! How do we defy this "defymedia?" Is it planning something grand for us all? Should i pack my suitcase for transcendence?

That's just weird, it makes sense though... The problem is that the database thing is going to cause issues for people who use one site for one thing, then this one for totally different applications.

On that note the fact that they use the same data base, wouldn't that mean all the Defy Media sites have the same web team? If so that would explain a lot of the truly horrendously backwards and inefficient things the site and forums do.
