I agree with you, but you're doing it wrong.
Don't hate the author or her ideas, and certainly don't hate the people who don't like the book. Hate the people that actually think it's a GOOD book. Stephenie Meyer isn't a bad person, she just found a formula for book writing that makes her bucketloads of money. Don't hate the book for being "wrong" about a nonexistent species. It's called fiction for a reason. I think her idea of what vampires are is stupid, but you can't say that the entire book is bad because she's stretched the definition of vampire. And certainly don't hate the people that hate the book. There's plenty of reasons to dislike the book, and that's why everyone complains about it. The truth is that they aren't (or at least shouldn't be) mad at the author for writing a bad book. They're mad at the idiots who will actually like the book, give her tons of money for twilight accessories, and even more to go see the movie.
In other words, don't hate the fact that there's a fire, hate the people that keep pouring gasoline on it.
