If you could reboot any game franchise, what would it be?
If you could have a HD remake of any game, what would it be?

I think I would like a reboot of the BloodRayne games and a HD remake of Def Jam Fight For NY.

I'd probably reboot the Final Fantasy series, because people tell me it needs one. As for an HD remake, give me some o' that good ol' Freelancer. Bloody loved the combat and exploration in that game.

Oh yeah, Freelancer for sure. I'd add either the X-Wing/Tie Fighter or Wing Commander franchises as well.

Oh, and we need vehicular combat back. Another Twisted Metal... no scratch that, another Vigilante 8... no scratch that, another ROGUE TRIP. There we go.

There are not many series I can think of that I would want to be rebooted. This is not so much of a reboot as I want another attempt but I would like a reboot to the Super Man games. I think with enough time and effort there could be an amazing game in there if you just maybe reduced his powers a bit. No need to take away flight but just put in Krypotians for him to fight and his other super powerful enemies instead of Ring Trials and protecting the city.

As far as HD remakes go umm, they could do a HD remake of Donkey Kong 64. I don't need the HD that much but I just want to play it again.

For a HD remake I pray the gods every day to give me a remake of Grandia with the Ubiart Framework, ubisoft edited the game in Europe (don't know for US)

Reboot I don't know. Right now I can only think of Mass Effect, a complete rethinking of the story.

I can't think of a series I'd reboot actually. Weird, I've got nothing against personally.

As for HD remakes, FF VII please. I really, really tried to get through that game, but my word are those graphics dated. Come on Square, please?

I would love a reboot or hd remake of the shining force games from the genesis/saturn days. Those games oozed charm. The main issue would be if they used voice actors. The subtitles over the lute like tinkling made it feel like they were talking in a foreign language.

I may dust off my old genesis now actually.

Reboot: Arcanum

Have it use an engine similar to Dragon Age Origins or NWN.

HD remake: Kingdom Under Fire: Heroes.

I bought an Xbox just for that game. Tried Morrowind, went back to Kingdom Under Fire, lol.

HD Remakes that i'd like: Planescape Torment (why has nobody said this yet?), KOTOR 1 and 2, Jade Empire, Gladius, Hunter series (Reckoning, Redeemer).
As for complete reboot: Too Human (the concept was great on paper)

Complete Reboot? There are a lot... I really would love to see decent Crash Bandicoot games, or Jak and Daxter, or really any Command & Conquer game that isn't online multiplayer. Oh! Or a good Prototype!
HD remake would be Secret Agent Clank. Odd choice, I know, but I loved that game and I really want it back, at least on PSN.

I would reboot the Phantasy Star series.

I want an HD remake of N20 for PS1, or the Rollcage games.

Ah, shit, you got to Crash Bandicoot first. I would totally play a re-do of Crash Bandicoot.

Alternatively, if they could re-release Mass Effect 1 with better controls and the combat from Mass Effect 3, I'd love that.

As for a reboot, could we have another Dawn of War series? And I would like to say I preferred the reboot to the Devil May Cry series and I would like for that to have continued.

Oddly enough, I actually kind of like the graphics of FF7. It's not nostalgia or anything like that, as I first played the game a few years ago. Don't get me wrong, I'd certainly prefer the graphics of an HD remake, but there's still something about the game's visuals that I like.

I'd like to see a remake of the Baldur's Gate franchise. It'd be cool to see that huge world realized in full 3D, similar to the Dragon Age games.

If they could just scratch ME2 (and by consequence 3) and redo them to actually feel like sequels to the first game, that would be great.

As far as HD remakes, KoTOR. The game still looks fine, IMO, but it'd breath new life into it.

Reboot: The Mercenaries series definitely went before it's time...

As for a HD remake, I would love to see a redo of Return to Castle Wolfenstein. Bloody loved that game.

Reboot: Probably the Metroid Series. There isn't much else to do in the Metroid universe considering Metroids themselves keep being eradicated, along with the space pirates often being disbanded. However, with a reboot, we could have story lines involving the Chozo, new enemies, new themes, but of course we still need to keep Samus and her power suit of course.

HD Remake: A little soon to be asking for it, and I am sure it will happen eventually, but I would love an HD remake of Zelda Twilight Princess. The visuals haven't aged as well as other Zelda games, and the game itself could use a few tweaks as well. I would love to see some of the cut enemies and areas put back into the game for example.

I'm not sure what good a reboot would do. The problem is Square Enix being unable to recognise what they did right and wrong from previous games. HD remakes of some of the earlier ones would be great though. My vote for an HD remake would definitely be FF9.

As for a reboot... I'm not sure actually. Probably Timesplitters :) I miss those games.

Hmmmm...yeah, on reflection, I think you're probably right there. HD is more likely the way to go, since reboots are plentiful and often split an audience further. Might as well give it to a game or game series that people loved to the end, to see what other directions it can be taken in.
