Tycoon Games

I personally love the old titles such as Roller Coaster Tycoon and Transport Tycoon. They were really great games that you spend hours playing without even realising.

Unfortunately, there seems to be less and less of these Tycoon games and the more recent ones have been no way near as good.

Do you think they should make more Tycoon games or is it time for the genre to die?

I still play Deep Sea Tycoon.
But yeah, they've been around long enough and I don't see anything new happening soon so it's probably time for them to take a rest.

Did you try Sid Meier's Railroads!? It's the sequel to Railroad Tycoon 3 and released in 2006. I think it's one of the last decent Tycoon games out there. There's also Prison Tycoon 4 released in 2008 but it hasn't received a lot of attention and most reviews it got had a really low score.
