Anyone else had this issue with the Assassins creed games and that ubisoft drm where you apparently have an "Internet Access problem"? has anyone fixed this and could possibly tell me the solution? I've tried opening some ports that were mentioned on the ubisoft website and that's bust so i've got no idea. Any and all help is greatly appreciated, thanks.

Are you behind a router? Are you sure the ports you need aren't only opened, but properly forwarded as well?

I'll admit, my inner troll is going: "Get a console and the game's console version, it'll solve all of your DRM woes, fnur-fnur."

In all seriousness, though, this isn't much more than a forwarding or triggering error. At least, that's what it looks like based on the info you've provided.

You can probably download a patch for that. Demonoid.me can help you.

If you can't find an standalone crack, then pirate the game and use the crack from that.

Bocaj2000,

You might want to edit your post before the mods see it.

ETA: Wow, 12 hours go by and the mods either missed this one or let it go while giving someone else a warning for saying "I AM" in the Just Dance 3 thread.

Whatever, just wash your hands.
I would call ubisoft and yell at them till they hung up.

1) Don't buy Ubisoft products

2) Download a cracked .exe and use that

You paid for the fucking game, you should be able to play it.

That's what any given crazed PC gamer would say so go for it, buddy!

Eh, no thanks. :) I'd rather keep whatever Unknown Nice Guy credit I've got left.

Yeah, piracy talk aside, I'm pretty sure it's nothing serious. If forwarding and triggering the ports isn't doing much, then I'd have to say you're pretty much outside the purview of legal solutions to your problem.

That, unfortunately, is going to complicate things. A quick stroll on Demonoid (no link or search results will be given, check it out yourself) shows that you have to jump through some hoops to defeat the always-on Internet DRM.

Seriously, no game is worth that much hassle. What started as a fake trolling attempt is starting to feel pretty serious in the back of my mind. I've always played the AC games on console. I'd play them on PC for the sake of comfort, but them's the breaks.
