Ubuntu internet problems

So as the title suggests I now have Ubuntu on my laptop but I am having problems connecting to the internet and cant really find any real help. Thanks in advance

If its a wireless problem then you need to install ndiswrapper to get your wireless card drivers to work with ubuntu. The ubuntu forums have some guides on how to set it up. However I'm only guessing that is the problem your having, it's been awhile since I used ubuntu. Hope this helps
