I love games. I love the action, the story, the puzzles...and dressing up my hero. Yes, there's a strange joy in spiffing up my character so he or she can proudly strut about. That said, some games feature outfits that are less than desirable. My bottom five (I'm limiting it to games that let you equip different armors):
Most Fallout armor is supposed to look rugged and makeshift. Mission accomplished here. The armor looks like repurposed pieces of a child's four wheeler. It over-sized appearance also makes your character look like a boy who is trying on his dad's suit.
So fur makes for good shield material. Who knew? Maybe it's practical attire in Skyrim or Bruma, but Fur armor looks pretty cheesy.
Though a useful piece of armor early in the game, Davik's getup is not so pleasing to the eye. Maybe BioWare asked themselves, if Prince were a Star Wars hero, what would he wear?
The armor does come with a bevy of useful boosts. It also seems to boost the weight of whoever wears it. This armor just makes you look frumpy and chubby no matter what. The dragon design just looks random, and the armor seems to be missing something around the shoulders.
The hideousness of this armor is only enhanced by the work you have to put in to obtain it. I went through all the Lair of Romulus missions as fast as I could, having to repeat two of them when they bugged out on me, and then I was rewarded with...this. Maybe I'm just not a fan of fur. The Armor of Brutus looks like a cross between the attires of a nobleman, a centurion, and Daniel Boone. Not a fan.
So there's mine. What are yours?
