I've not been on the escapist much lately and dont watch tv anymore because i had been playing games or working. Last few weeks when im on the escapist ive been seeing the pony avatars...
Is it good? Im just slightly confused to see something like that on the escapist.

It's a two-parter and I don't think the pilot is as good as the rest of the season, but it has some background information to clear stuff up later.

To sum it up, MLP is:
Ad'awwworable
Generally amusing
Hilarious at times
Well written
Well voiced
Did I mention cute?

Not convinced? One of the episodes is about a fashion show... and it's enjoyable. Yes, an episode about ponies putting on a fashion show is enjoyable.

The cartoon that you link to pretty much sums it up for most people I think. It's written better than most shows on TV today, the characters are easy to love, and it's at times funnier than most of todays writing across genres and forms. It just happens to be My Little Pony. Since I've always loved animation more than other forms of entertainment (except games of course) for me it's no big. I think it actually deserves all of the attention it's getting. Then again I've only watched the first 5 episodes that I could find....

Also if Yay.fmv up there didn't make you laugh then you have no soul.

OT: My opinion is somewhat biased on this subject but I say give it a whack. If you don't like it then it's just not for you and you've at worst just saved yourself from becoming part of a soul sucking fandom akin to that of the borg in it's recruitment rate.

Thanks. My computer runs away screaming at any mention of HD but I have found a few regular episodes and from what I've heard order doesn't really matter. I never knew the Borg "recruited".... and I know of lot worse social influences than My Little Pony.
