For those of us in the UK it has been a great few days. Crazy even. We've had some brilliant weather recently. Its like Spain when we're used to cold or average weather. The country isn't used to this heat. Because I grew up in the states I'm used to such weather, but a few of my friends not familiar with such climates are suffering quite badly.

What have you been doing to enjoy the heat? Cool drinks? Swimming?

Personally I've been having BBQs and going for walks along the local canal. The UK has rubbish beaches, mainly full of rocks. It makes me miss the old beaches at Lake Ontario.

Unfortunately my phone fried due to the heat. Hopefully O2 will replace it or repair it for me.

It has not been great. I don't like heat, it's too hot.
I did enjoy a sweltering day at the local amusement park, a picnic and diving into a river fully clothed. I did have more fun sat in the shade of a tree studying and throwing small stones for cats to chase.

Saturday night I was at yet another BBQ, and just kept drinking ice cold Cobra that the guy had in his fridge. Not to get drunk, but just because I was so thirsty. It's so incredibly hot.

I spent today in a boiling exam hall taking my Latin GCSE.
Uber fun.
I remember doing that a couple of years ago. Except mine was in a freezing cold sports hall.

There I was, trying to remember what "erubesco" meant, and all I could think about was how quickly I was likely to get frostbite.

Everything I wear is black, therefore when I set foot outside in this weather, I get vaporized a-la Fallout 3 Lazer Rifle style.

I've gotten back into cycling and I've been drinking a lot of milk. Bad. Ass.
Before I came home and was still at uni for the last week or so we were out on the fields smoking some joints, then we'd come back and have drink-ups in the kitchen :D

We haven't exactly had a heatwave. Sure it's been warmer than usual, but it's not THAT hot. Thankfully. I hate it when it gets too hot.

Personally, I spend most of the time inside, I get dehydrated really easily, so I have to be careful outside otherwise I end up with headaches and that's really annoying.

I live in Arizona, United States and our average high during the summer is in the 120's and I love it, I cant explain it but its just so great.

So that explains it, well it's like good ol' Aus (understatement from hell) because I'm currently suffocating in my room from the heat, even though I have all doors and windows open.

Well, I'm an ex ginger, so I'm inside every other day recovering from sunburn...
There's no such thing as ex-ginger. Confess!

Ive been out every day having a great time. Everyone just seems happier and more friendly, its great.

Its about time as we've had shitty summers for the last two years.

Around how hot is this heat wave? Because I've seen Britons over here walking around in a singlet and shorts during the dead of winter; I'm skeptical of your concept of "hot".

Thankfully I've not got exams this year, it was hell trying to concentrate during this kind of weather. I'm alright at the moment, but when it gets too hot then I just become really lethargic and can't be bothered to do literally anything. And frustrated.

I wouldn't walk around outside during heat. Not that I have any real problems with it - but I'd rather go down to the basement, turn on air conditioners and everything, and hide until dark.
I do something like that except i go upstairs. Our hous is up on the top of a hill in the wind and in the summer my room is facing it so i go upstairs open up all the windows and shut the door downstairs. Then i hide out with my iced-tea and video games until it gets dark, then i go ride my RMX-250 cuz its got a head light. ;P

I dont, but unfortunatly i work outside, so that sucks.

Plenty of water during the day, plenty of beer in the evenings, and plenty of barbequed meat at the weekends make summer bearable for me.

Revision, dammit. I have the biggest park in Leeds opposite too, and the largest (read: only one that isn't smaller than the size of my flat) piece of green open space on campus right behind me. Damn you, exams!!!!!

Ah well. Only one left now, Thursday morning, then I'm free to enjoy the lovely summer weather for the rest of, um, summer...
