Undertale's true pacifist is the best ending I've ever seen in a game

I thought about it for a while, and it has now surpassed my benchmark for great endings set by Chrono Trigger. Whereas the former was preceded by 40+ hours of a phenomenal story with great characters, it was still very standard: defeat the big bad, good things for everyone. Undertale on the other hand

went in such unexpected, strange and even disturbing directions its factor of not knowing what would happen next was even more effective. And the climax, my God! When the music kicked in in the fight against the real final boss I was simply in awe. I honestly wasn't expecting a fight against a transcendent, god-like being to not only feel totally earned, but also completely fit within the world and even more, being completely tied to all the central characters. Asriel's reveal was a jaw-dropping moment. The victory lap before the final ending was such a delicious treat. The section in the True Laboratory was genuinely unsettling and creepy, and gave the story even more gravitas. The music was absolutely perfect.
I honestly have no bad words to say about this ending. This thread is just an excuse to gush about it. The ending stands head and shoulders above all others I've considered nearly perfect like The Last of Us, Chrono Trigger and To the Moon.

Now for genocide mode, and having my heart ripped out of my chest along with my guts.

After doing the genocide route, do the true pacifist one again to cleanse your palate.

If you want to rip out your heart, I suggest the musical.

Undertale is one of those things I wish I could experience for the first time again. The ending was amazing, the final boss and the reveal had me SUPER hyped. Hearing each letter of his name make that ominous sound was chilling. And the music... holy hell. So good. Actually had me teary eyed by the end

It actually is an amazing ending, isn't it? But then, so is the Genocide ending.

I never seen a Post-Pacifist Genocide Route ending.
It... doesn't end well.

Do explain how because I searched everywhere at one point and never found a concrete answer as to what happens in a post pacifist-genocide run and I am well aware of the opposite outcome.

Oh wait. At first I thought you were referring to a post-Genocide Pacifist run. Yeah, if you come back from a Pacifist run to do Genocide, Flowey just straight up calls you out for it, saying how horrible you are for doing a Geno run just to see what would happen. Otherwise, I think it'll end like any other Geno run.

At the start of the game? Or later on during the runthrough?

I played Undertale at the end of last year, it was alright. It was funny, charming and all that. But it was simply alright, I don't get why this game got so much praise heaped upon it.

Lame, something like that should be a bit more impactful.
The Genocide run is already insanely impactful as it is. I don't know what else there is for the game to say.

That characters like the Flower and the Skeleton man should have ackwoledged it more why you did this after you did the Pacifist run?

The only logical answer to this question is that the player simply wanted to see what happened with the geno run.

It's a delight for players who like to explore everything in a game (specially dialog and meta-dialog).

It really is one of the most emotionally satisfying endings I've ever experienced in a game. Too bad playing genocide right after kind of ruins the mood.

Is your heart ripped out of your chest yet? Its not that long a game from what I know.

And also,

press "Do Not" once you are given the choice between Erase and Do Not once you arrive at the very end, and I will not say anything more about it.

I don't think Flowey regains control over save/load/reset after TP, because unless we do a True Reset, we just return to the last save point at completed area..
