I'm sure a lot of you guys know people (or are one of these people) who you'd never guess would be video game junkies. Priests, teachers, grandparents, whatever. I bring this up, because I discovered my Physics teacher is a die-hard Halo fan. Last Friday, we had a test on velocity, gravity, and acceleration formulas. When I got to the final question, I saw this:
Joey has forged a circular map on Avalanche. He drives a Warthog around the track with a constant speed of 55 km/h. What is his average velocity for one lap? If he enables speedhack, and begins driving with an average speed of 500 km/h, by how much will his average velocity increase?
While the physics nerds like myself are rolling their eyes at the trick question, the point is that he's an Halo fanboy (He's old, so he's a fanman, I guess). Oh and he took a personal day today, September 22, and it wasn't Rosh Hashanah. What came out today, my fellow Escapists? You got it.
My point is this. Who are the people in your life that play video games who you wouldn't expect to?
