Hello, all!

So, two pretty fantastic things happened today. After a terribly long day at work [footnote]Let's see if any of you can recall what my occupation is from the "How do you bring home the Bacon" [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.403227-Poll-How-do-You-Bring-Home-The-Bacon] thread I did way back[/footnote] My sister and brother-in-law call me over to give me a 50 buck gift-card, as a belated Christmas present.

I had actually received a present from them already but they felt they had to get me more after they received their gifts. Which was completely unnecessary, but pretty freakin' awesome.

Second awesome thing to happen was preceded by bad news. I received a package from Amazon which was suppose to include a 5lb bag of Haribo Super Cola gummy candies. (Don't judge me. :< ) Though, instead of the super colas I received "happy cola" candies, which are the normal gummies you can find everywhere.

I contacted Amazon right away and not only do I get a full refund, I also get to keep the bag of gummies.
FREE CANDY![br]
[br][small]No, you can't have any >:D[/small]
So, Escapist chums, what unexpected good news has befall you?

I learned I was NOT the father! Certainly took a lot of stress off of my mind :D

Now I can do cool, kid-free things!

The news about a second season of Sword Art Online made my day New Years Eve. For me this was some of the best news I have received in a while. My favorite anime getting a second season, finally.

I also learned my favorite author is releasing a new novel in one of his best series this march. I was aware of the book, but not of the release date. Seeing it is so close made me barely able to control my excitement.

^^This was an excellent bit of news to discover yesterday.

Also finding out that Sherlock season 3 has just started. That was pretty awesome.

...I just saved a bunch of money on my car insurance by switching to Geico?

OT: Space Dandy... Enough said...

Edit: I guess I should clarify... I did not know the same director as Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo worked on this show... When I did, that just made me more excited to see this show... as well as want it on Blu-Ray...

The supervisor (who I hate working for) got transfered to another store in the next town closer (it's closer to his home). That's one less annoying person I have to deal with (now if only the manger either retired or transfered aswell).

Yet again that is bad news to the other supervisor (the good one who I get along with) at work since he has been looking for other jobs but with that person gone, he can't leave since the store will be without a supervisor (yes this is the manager problem but she ain't exactly been hiring the right staff since we are still without a deputy manager!

I recently proclaimed my true, romantic feelings for a friend of mine, and they were mutual and reciprocated.
Needless to say, I'm over the fucking moon.

Unexpected good news... hmm, let's see. Well recently I managed to get one month's free Xbox Gold Live, that was unexpected since I had it in the past, guess they want to try to pull me back >.>

My presence will not be required at work for the foreseeable future, leaving me with free time to think and walk.

Well I came to my home in Vancouver today to discover that the package one of my friends on the Escapist sent me actually was a group effort. A truly humbling and amazing present awaited me.

I'm not allowed to stop buying new Pokemon games as I intended to after I finished Black 2.

This was the greatest surprise I've had for a Christmas present since 1999 and it means I will not be missing out on 6th gen after all.

That's pretty f*cking good unexpected news in my book!

[sub][sub]Thanks guys. I still can't believe this is a real thing sitting next to me.[/sub][/sub]

I had a really crappy day at work on Saturday when the burglar alarm kept going off, and we got more samples than expected, as a result myself and some of the other lab staff had to stay behind to get everything done, so imagine my surprise when I finally trudged to my house and found that my brother had found a black Nintendo Gamecube to replace our old one, with Resident Evil: REmake, Luigi's mansion and Resident Evil 4 and a memory card with a note saying "Happy birthday sis, I know you have had a crappy day (he called me at work earlier and I told him what a shit day I was having), so I decided to give you your birthday present a week early. See you tonight". I was so happy I started crying, which I haven't done since I found out I graduated from university. When my brother and my parents came to visit, we had a retro games night with my housemates. I haven't had that much fun for ages. I have the best family ever.

Barely old enough to legally drink and I've already purchased a house.

I was pretty excited about that.

Right after that something horrible happened, so I suppose it balanced out.

Today (or rather yesterday) was a pretty crappy day for me. Lot of running around trying to get things that no one had for some reason, along with the weather being crap (was raining, then hailed for a bit, now the temp is plummeting).

Well, there was the $1 a bag M&Ms at the CVS. And the boyfriend can manage walking kinda alright now (he sprained his ankle a few days back). So I guess that counts.

Wow, what a lovely gift!

Out of interest - since I was considering purchasing one of the Pokemon 3DS XL's myself. Do they not come with the game already installed like most of the other 3DS special editions? I'm assuming not since there's a boxed copy of Pokemon Y with it too!
