I just came across this and felt that I had to share. I'm thankful my name is nothing like any of these. I've done a search and there isn't a thread on this so im fairly safe to post.

Anyone know any other unfortunate names?

When my sister was to be given a last name, mom and my step-dad chose step-dad's (her father's) last name. Otherwise her name would have been Annie Franck. And she was going to live with a guy (her brother) called Peter.

When the French ruled in the Netherlands they did a census of names (Understand, the Dutch use to have conditional last name, such as occupation at place, baker on main street) so roughly 10% of Dutch being fun goofy gave false last names...that they are stuck with unless they change them. So sometimes you meet someone who has a last name that translates funny.

Yeah, What kind of parent decides it'd be a great idea to name their son 'Mike Hunt'. It must lead to a few awkward moments "You you like Mike Hunt? Do you think Mike Hunt is nice? Dare you to touch Mike Hunt"

My mom works at the food bank and once came across documentation for one Mr. Harry Dickhout.

Furthermore, many professional baseball players have ridiculous names, including Randy Johnson, Gaylord Perry, and Dick Pole.

In Holland, my aunt and her Dutch husband know a kid called Kon which in Swedish means "the cow", and one who's named Roefen which means "the arse" in Swedish. (Not sure about the spelling by the way.)

That one is dirty: Mike Hawk. I knew a guy named that way. In french: Andy Capé. Which could also sound like the french word for handicap.
