For some reason I have my mind stuck in 40k, but can't seem to find much lasting amusement in Dawn of War, Space Marine (game), or collecting anything outside the upcoming Chaos Marine release.

You know what I'd love to see happen? That 40k MMO that's been announced, and then re-announced, and then re-re-announced. I think that could be a lot of fun.

At least until I find a good Deathwatch tabletop group.

Apart from tracking down working copes of Final liberation or Chaos Gate (and i personally can't vouch for either of those) I'm afraid you're all outta options :\ At least videogame wise.

Yeah mate, you should check out the books, some of them are really good. The Gaunt's Ghosts series for example.

didn't it sadly get canned, and they announced a single player game based off the existing tech and art?
That was the last I heard as well.

I was all excited thinking I may finally get to scratch that Warhammer MMO itch i've had since Age of Reckoning made me catch crabs because I had to cheat on it with Aion due to WAR being, well, not so good.

Aaaaaand yes, I found the thingy I read.

The Emperor concurs. Check out the Horus Heresy series too, some really great stuff there.

The MMO got axed, it's being converted into another singleplayer game

I have a copy of Final Liberation that I got from a friend. He had to send me a whole extra file to install with the disc to get it to work on modern day computers but it was worth it!

OT: The Horus Heresy books are fantastic fun, although I'm on book 16 (I think) Prospero Burns now and it's kinda running out of steam for me. Which is a shame cause the early books in the series are absolutely fantastic but the focus has been dragged away from Horus and his actions to little side events now. I'll probably get back into them when they announce more Loken/Garro stories or actually start the siege of Terra
