Unique and Unusual Games (Any Console)

Hi Escapists. I've recently been getting into and collecting unique and strange video games, such as The Tone rebellion and Killer7 and I was wondering if any of you knew any others? I have an xbox 360, a PC, ps2, ps3, gamecube, xbox, ds, gameboy and a wii. f anyone could suggest anything, that would be a great help. Thanks

Katamary Damacy is an obvious given, other than that I would have to say Minecraft, Garrys Mod and maybe even The Sims.

Legend of Legaia 2 dual saga. A wonderful mix of rpg and fighting games. the art system in particular gives a certain versatility to combat, stringing combos rapid fire is awesome, and the dual attacks with multiple characters that you can mix and match. Under-rated gem. Find it play it love it.

Deadly Premontion: for it's script and balls to be a game that could have been released in PS2 era and gotten at least 70%.

Red Steel: Ridiculous power ranger level was awesome.

Harvest Moon: The madness of an addictive farming sim.

Animal Crossing: Fun to play in an ironic way plus you can make the characters call you "Fuckface"




Sadly unique and unusual games seemed to dry up after the PS2 era, as gaming becomes more popular the ideas become more formulic.

Very yes to these, along with whoever mentioned The Path. For additional weirdness in a more game-like form, Zeno Clash is pretty interesting.

I second that. Also, if you're into 2d games, there's Terraria which is basically a 2d Minecraft with some RPG touches.
