The Mortal Kombat reference was very well placed, as was the Fallout 3 Megaton reference. Good job!

Hey does this mean you have gathered enough courage to cover games that are not mediocre and we can expect titles like Resident Evil, Grand Theft Auto (and the like) in the near future?
The original Resident Evil would be perfect. Perfect.

Fun Fact: Paul and I probably watch 5 times as many terrible opening scenes as we can actually use.
I don't actually know if you can call all of the cutscene's you've covered "terrible" etc
That's totally fair actually. I guess I'm just using that as shorthand.

We do watch a lot of legitimately terrible ones though, we just don't use them all.
I mean, I thought this was a great opening scene, but yeah, it all comes down to taking itself very seriously.

Several of the games we've done I actually really, really like, but we're here to make jokes, so... well, there you are.

what happened to the good graphics of the japan scene when it switched to france?

one of the reasons why I wouldn't like this game are the huge cinematics that show you what you CAN'T do.

So many great ones...

"Good, I was hoping that they'd have these guys, and most people forget the Giant flying snake monsters." "In feudal Japan." "In feudal Japan, Yes."

"There's always room...for Jello!"

"I like the idea of using your weapons ultimate attack for pracitcal purposes.Power a Clock Radio with a lightning blast."

How...Does this have ANY bearing...to what we just saw!?

"See, NOW the games unhistorically accurate, because unlike Feudal Japan, Modern day France does not have flying-Stingray Monsters."

"I wanna do a France Surrendering joke, but i don't think anyone would do better."

Another great episode guys,

"Now I don't want to tell you your job but you may not want to let him do that.."
is followed quickly by an extremely short and disappointing fight.

Nice selection of some of the better quotes there

I said "Was that Jean Reno?" at the exact same time as you guys did, haha.
Ditto! xD Also loved the Mortal Kombat reference. You planning on releasing an album with all those theme-songs, guys? I was headbanging along with the MK theme you did. Lawl.

not mediocre - Resident Evil
This statement confuses me greatly.
Well, the PSX titles (2 and 3) are quite good, the GameCube Remake is awesome and RE4 is great. Sure there are plenty of mediocre Resident Evil games out there... RE5 is a recent addition, but I tend to remember the best and ignore the worst.

I'm speaking in terms of cutscene quality..

Dammit! Now I want to get a PS2 so I can replay this game! Thanks for giving me a chore!

Anyway, great one y'all.

favorite lines:
-"One's a samurai, one's French, they're Cops!"
-"Leave him be" "Aw but we were gonna..."
-"This area has a bug infestation but it can be treated with liberal use of Katana"
