unwillingly temporarly quit gameing for 5 months!

Ive been living and working in spain and recently got a job as a telesales executive (I know you hate I us and so do I)
The point of it is that because ive been sharing a flat with some Much older flat mate, I rarley get internet connection AND my laptop is terrible, it cant even handle peggle or Deus ex!!
BUT I happen to have an awesome Desktop that can handle Crysis and so on very well in the UK, but I cant ship it until I rent my own place in the next month or so, and even then god knows how much it will cost!
So I was just wondering if anyone else has had a simlar accidental rehab session from games, and if so why? Also if anyone has any Idea how much shipping a large desktop would cost on average it would be useful.
My final point is over the last 5 months It acutually hasent been so bad and I havent missed games so much, its only now that im begining to crave Stalker, crysis, half life, counterstrike and want to try all the upcoming games.

Im very interested to hear your opinions and storys but don know when I will be reading them as my flatmate is very anti technology and cuts internet off all the time, so I cant wait to move lol.

I'd probably invest in a console for now, if you're planning on returning to the UK any time soon, else, I guess shipping it over is the best thing, I'd ask a mate to pop it open , tighten all the screws up, and pack it securely for you though.

Couriers, I wont knock em, but a fragile sticker wont make them treat it like crystal glasses.

As for the screen, if you have a CRT, I's advise shopping around, see how much play.com might send you a 19" LCD for, was £100 for my parents, delivered, might not be too much with delivery, compared to shipping a bulky CRT over.
