So I finally moved my PC out it's old cramped case and into it's shiny new, much more room and air flow case:

Now, finally my PC has room to upgrade the GPU! And the air flow for it! But I'm kind of at a loss for what to get;

I don't want to drop $800-$1,000 for a 1080TI or Titan, but at the same time I'm trying to find the right balance between "meaningful upgrade" and not molesting my wallet. MY CPU, RAM and MB are good thankfully and don't/won't need upgrading. But my GPU is only an AMD HD Radeon R9 290 4GB, so it's sitting in that awkward spot of making a mid-range card not feel as worthwhile for upgrading, but making a true notable upgrade a little pricey. Even a 1070 is a little steep it feels like, AND it's close to "Well, why don't you just get a 1080?" price range.

Wait for the GTX 1100 series to come out first. It's rumored to come out in August.

There's a possibility the 1170 will be a great deal.

The 1070 ($379 MSRP) was more powerful than the 980 TI ($649 MSRP) and Titan X ($1200 MSRP). Unfortunately demand made the 1070 around $470, but you really should wait to get more performance per dollar.
