Hey all, my name's David, and over the summer I've started making gaming videos to combat boredom, but I'm having so much fun I want to keep doing it and try to make regular, entertaining content like the professional channels I love. This thread is partly advertising, since everyone said advertise on forums and Escapist is one of the few I like, but mostly I want feedback since I'm very new to this, and youtube comments are not really a good medium for in-depth discussion.
Channel is www.youtube.com/sababwl, if you really like it there are Facebook and Twitter pages with the same name for video updates and inane rambling.
Current schedule is as follows:
Monday - Dicking Around In Video Games, basically I don't have the improv skills to carry a full Let's Play, so I cut it down to the highlights. Games used may eventually repeat, but I'll try to give you a different game week-to-week.
Wednesday - Should You Play, not quite a review, I like to call it an overview, where I run down the biggest pros and cons and give a final play/don't play verdict.
Friday - Experimental, a testbed when I have a new show idea, a random vlog when I don't.
Note that I work on a New Zealand schedule, so Americans may see videos the day before advertised.
My videos are short-form, rarely more than 5 minutes, since I tend to be a very concise person.
Going forward, I'd like to dip into industry discussion and gaming science/lore, two areas that I really love to talk about. I've tried a news show a couple of times, and while I've balked it up, I still think that has potential.
