It's (first world problem) story time kids!

So yeah last night I lost a match on league of legends (Oh noes), however I received 4 "honourable opponent" ratings from the opposing side. you know why? simply because they felt sorry for me I guess. The reason of course being the absolute shambles of a "team" that I was paired up with. (Why oh why do my friends go off so early and leave me with the randomers?)

<spoiler=Details for anyone who cares or actually plays LoL>Okay so my team consisted of me playing as Brolaf in jungle, a Lux mid, a Sion top and a Nunu/miss Fortune in bot lane. Things went from good to bad QUICKLY, I had literally zero communication with my team mates despite my best efforts. The Sion didn't activate his enrage AT ALL!

The Lux, nunu and MF were just generally bad, they didn't have any coordination, blindly running in WITHOUT ME "Herp derp let's take on 5 enemies with just the 3 of us". Just in case anyone is wondering, no I didn't engage in any arguments or verbal abuse with my incompetent team mates despite how badly I wanted to. I know the LoL community is often viewed as a bunch of raging children but no, I don't go that low (not often anyway).[sub]I just whine on the forums instead[/sub]

Surrendered at 22 minutes with a KDR of 9/5. :*3

Anyway on to the discussion. anyone ever had poor teams (in other games) before? I imagine most gamers have had this anyway so would you care to share your funny/depressing stories with me? :D

Gears of War is bad for this, especially on Warzone.

"Oh what's that White Lightning? we a have 5 on 3 lead? All we need to do is wait for Grenades to spawn and we can kill them in their camping room? Well we're just gonna run in there anyways and get killed."

Honestly I don't even bother playing multiplayer games anymore unless my friends are playing it with me. It's just too frustrating.

See, this is what happens when you go off into the scary world of Solo Q (or in this case, YOLO Q would be more fitting.)

Anyway, you went into a game without your jungle HECARIM. The hell did you think was gonna happen? I can run in 1v5 and (usually) live, can anyone else do that? Even if I die it's often a 5 for 1 exchange because lol focus the pony.

At least you weren't lagging this time. Thank god for small mercies :3

OT: Well, today I had a team where I had to babysit bot fucking hardcore with jungle Nocturne. I mean HARDCORE, I leave them alone for 2 minutes and they got double killed. Again. I would get at least one kill bot, farm a bit, kill bot again, get my ult back while farming then ULT BOT

After a few successful ganks our Renekton top forgets that a jungler is in fact, NOT an omnipotent being and I can't be top and bot at the same time, now stop whining.

He was doing fine as well. Whenever I looked at him he was miles ahead of their Vi, usually chasing her down in fact (even though Vi's supposed to be doing the chasing according to her theme song but whatever) then boom, I look away for a minute and he's mysteriously died... No fucking idea how. Their WW was AFK farming his jungle all game as well so top wasn't getting camped.

To top it off the game was relatively close since their team had two AD carries (Ashe and Twitch) so once it hit late game we all had enough armour to give zero fucks about anyone but Brand and WW. Then oh dear apparently our Kog'Maw decided to brainlessly farm bot when we don't even have an inhib turret, he's all the way down to our broken first tier turret then oops 5 man gank lol.

Oh and we had an AP Yi mid. *Sigh*

CoD Zombies. Teammates who don't revive. Enough said.
Oh and TF2 MVM there are some people who are just really not great. Like engineers who don't build anything. It just blows my mind.

Just about every person in Halo I end up on a team with.

I know I am damned good but, come on, put me in a team with people of my equal skill level! It really says something when I have 23 of our 48 kills.

Team Fortress 2 is a good example of that.
Whenever I play Dota 2 / LoL I play with friends so I can't complain too much.

Anyway, I only ever switch servers on TF2 when my team is beyond hope.
I'm good enough to hold my ground with any class, but 1/12 or whatever isn't enough to win the match unless the other team has no defense (I have won a few matches like that as Spy/Scout). When my team is composed of a majority Snipers/Pyros and is devoid of Engineers/Medics and me switching to the needed class doesn't change the course of the battle in the slightest, to quote the Medic, "my skill is wasted on this team".

I really don't mind losing if my team made an honest effort and utilized communication/good team structure.
That probably applies to every team based game for me.

The only miltiplayer game I played for any length of time was Mass Effect 3 and the only time I dreaded a match up was when we had a Vanguard.

The amount of times i'd watch a Biotic Charge followed by a Nova followed by "Player X is dead .... AGAIN".

Mainly because, fuck common sense, let's charge/nova that Banshee with 2 Brutes near it ... what could possibly go wrong.

Had one match up with 2 Vanguards and a Sentinel and the Vanguards spent the entire match in competition with each other in the "let's see who can die the most" game.

You would have thought they would have given up when me and the Sentinel stopped helping them back from the dead but no, off they charged to die again. They both died near the start of the last 3 rounds so me and the Sent finished them on our own.

I hate being grouped with Vanguards. It's rare I meet one that can actually play the class but when I do meet that rare breed they play it fucking well.

I've never had any bad experiences with TF2 and Dota 2, but the idiots running around in Dark Souls have irritated the fuck out of me. They're few, but they grief like no one's business. It's the reason I (forcefully and legally) disconnect from GFWL to enjoy the game.

Left 4 Dead 2 is pretty spectacular for this, since the most important trait is map knowledge. It's quite obvious when someone is new to a map.

I was playing the Hard Rain campaign recently, and since it's a hard ************, I'm not that familiar with it. My team was making the return trip through the sugar mill and one of my teammates figured it would be a good idea to run ahead while were fighting the tank (pretty much The Incredible Hulk in zombie form). Needless to say, he got grabbed and beaten to death by zombies, after which he started swearing at my team from beyond the grave.

(We didn't win that game.)

Is that all? Pah, pah I say!

Call of duty, yeah... I'm going there!

Play domination solo, the amount of times I have dived on B to capture it and be killed, so I try again and again... On my fourth attempt 3 team mates jump on the flag and capture it before I can get there. So I just died 3 times for fuck all

On a few occasions there have been team mates stood watching me, I can only assume they are thinking "fucking muppet"

Ninja'd! Damn. Oh, well.

The only time I'm okay with people running ahead of me is:

1. If we're playing Versus and things are looking bad for us.
2. If I'm down and overwhelmed, also on Versus.
3. If we're close to the safe house.
4. If we've already restarted the chapter and we just wanna get it over with.

Once we were playing The Parish on a harder difficulty. It was just another guy and me left crossing the bridge finale; everyone else was dead. This other guy had a knack for letting us die in order to run to the safe house, which like I said, I understand, I guess. Zombies were overwhelming us and a Tank was right behind us. We could the helicopter already when my teammate went down. I was very weak but still tried to help him but if I kept trying to get him up (To no avail), the zombies and the Tank would overwhelm me too. So I did what he would do: I ran toward the helicopter.
So what happened? I didn't even make it to the helicopter. I got kicked out. I always try to be the best teammate, really. I was a good teammate but I guess they failed to see that. If I had being overwhelmed, the other guy would have left me behind for sure. But I think he was playing with his buddies so...yeah. Majority of votes.

The game is great if you manage to find good teammates. I mean, the game encourages you to play as a team and look out after one another. It literally rewards you. But when you're paired up with bad teammates...oh boy, you end up hating the game.

People who run ahead, who don't know where to go, who don't know how to play, people who will attack you instead, people who kick you out for no reason (literally), people who are selfish with their items, etc.
One thing I hate is playing with people who are playing together offline, that is, a single account and two players. For the most part, they only look after each other and they stick together. And if there's time, they might look after someone else. Not only that but they have a bigger vote power. They can easily kick everyone out if they want to.

But like I said, if you find good teammates, the game is great, especially on Versus where your actions kick the other team's butt.

I've recently started playing Fat Princess and I've run into this a couple of times. I would be the only Worker who would gather all the resources needed to upgrade everyone (or at least the only one doing it effectively), yet even with that my team can't seem to work together and we'd lose the game quickly. Usually after 3 matches if I see that happening, I either switch to the other team if there's room, or just leave and find a new game.

Try playing Lol Dominion for epic rage.

All my matches end up complete one sided stomps that last 10 minutes, and end with something like 350-0 or 480-0

-One of 2 things happens:
One team has more overpowered champs than the other (Note: Lol's actual balance is quite good, but dominion enforces different rules and favors HEAVILY certain champs). Namely: Kassadin, Kha'zix, Urgot, Yorick, Darius, Akali , Jayce.
Whichever team has more of those wins 100% guaranteed, not even close. Unless........

One team always gets an afk from start, in which case it's a 5 min game of 4v5.

But yea, lol is complete garbage if you're looking for a good co-op experience. Even pro teams rage at each other all the time.
Dominion really does fall down to who has the most bruisers (Or whoever has Rammus, wins....) Which is why I only play summoners rift.

In a match earlier that day, I was playing Dark Carnival, and we were in the tunnel of love. I got mobbed by zombies along the way, and as we're nearing the maintenance room, one of my teammates incaps me since he's using the least accurate shotgun in the game. I ***** at him a bit, and I figure it's just one of those things, right? So as we get to the maintenance room, I take a moment to heal (my team was pretty bad, and only one other person had a health kit by that point).

I try to heal, and the fucknut who incapped me shoots me again, like five times. I get incapped for the second time. At this point, I'm thinking "Okay, he's deciding to be a dick. Whatever."

I get up, heal again.

He teamkills me, then picks up my health kit and uses it while his health is in the thirties.

I try to kick him, since, y'know, teamkilling is teamkilling.

The other people on my team don't kick him.

I ragequit.

There's only one thing worse for a light or fast medium in World of Tanks than looking at the minimap and seeing that you're suddenly the lead car in a lemmingtrain.

Seeing that the lemmingtrain went the other way, and you've got an entire flank to yourself...

Me in LoL. I know I suck, I've only played three games so far, sorry guys. I try though. I got my first couple kills in my last game.
(I only got it so I could write it on my application to Gamestop).

About half the people in ME3 multiplayer. I play as an Engineer with hot pink armor, between my combat drone and fire ball/overload I can carry the team on easy ("Bronze" I think is what it's called). I just need someone to pick my ass up every once in a while. I'm playing as an Engineer not a Soldier it's going to happen. Of course, occacionally when that happens I end up with a team that will just not revive me, then we all die.
