What're you doin' on Valentine's Day?

I'm going to the spend the evening at my house with BBQ hot wings and a zombie movie.

School, then three hours of tennis, then work, then staying up lurking the forums here, then sleeping at 2:00 in the morning and waking up at 6:00.

Work on project until class at 6 in the evening
Attend class
head back to my place
make supper
go to bed.

Valentines is only applicable when you have a significant other, and I am so unaffected by common media that it doesn't bother me that it "should be bothering me".

I'm going to play video games and hopefully get some homework done. I have a project overdue on a subject that I'm genuinely interested in outside of school. Unfortunately, as soon as something is turned into schoolwork I can't focus on it at all.

I'm probably just gonna sit around and play Guild Wars, TF2 and League of Legends, and find a chance to call my long-distance girlfriend I can't let my parents find out about.

See, they're against these kinds of relationships, they say they never work out. But you know what? This has been working spectacularly for over six months now.

Stay indoors and try to sleep through most of it. Had to venture out last year as a matter of necessity and am not making that mistake again. Will be going to dance lessons at night, though. Don't feel bad about being single there, because everybody is with the exception of the one married guy.

Nothing special planned here, we're just going to stay in, usual routine. We don't "believe" in Valentine's Day, and so we're boycotting it. The way we figure it, if you need to be reminded to treat your significant other once a year, then you've probably got larger issues at work.

Meeting my better halfs parents and sister. They're supposed to be really laid back, but i'm always nervous about meeting my significant other's family.

girl I wanted to be my valentine is busy valentines' day so we're going to BD's Mongolian Grill (my original plan) some other time. We are just chilling once she's done with sorority stuff though, so that's nice.

Have a few classes to go to and a midterm to study for.

Overall a fairly mediocre day coming.

I'm going to spend my Valentine's Day with my students; we're having a Valentine's Day classroom party where they send each other cards.

I'm gonna wake up. Eat a small meal, then go work out. Afterward, well, I'll probably just sit at home and do jack squat the rest of the day seeing as I have no other. The joys of living..

Nah, more true is probably spending it working on schoolwork or playing Pokemon. Probably both.

Being single means the day means nothing to me this year.

My plans require some explanation, so hear me out:
My friend who lives an hour away in Toronto and works in the city I'm in said that he probably wouldn't make it home for Valentines day to his girlfriend because he had plans with us (mutually agreed that Valentines day is bullshit couple). She said "No, you're coming home for Valentines day, and if your single loser friends want to come that's fine, but you're coming home!"
So upon catching wind of this we (3 of us) decided that I will be bringing chocolates, my other friend will be bringing origami flowers, and my third friend will be bringing water balloons filled with red dye to paint "I love you Lisa" in the snow below the balcony in a giant heart.

A joke gone too far? Most definitely...but we're all on good terms and we know she'll think it's hilarious.

Failing this, I like the wings and zombie movie idea...

Now-6:30am: Play New Vegas or futz around on the Internet.
6:30am: Bedtime.
1:00pm: Wake-up.
1:00-2:30pm: Finishing up my homework for SCM352 (Operations Management)
4:00pm: SCM352 (Operations Management)
5:30pm: ACC410 (Tax Accounting for Individuals)
7:00pm: ACC405 (Cost Accounting)
9:15pm: Arrive home, and if I haven't eaten by this point in the day, grab some Del Taco.
10:00pm-6:30am: Play New Vegas or futz around on the Internet. Might call my friend/sweetheart/not-quite-girlfriend and chat with her for as long as it takes her to get sick of me. She's on record as saying she hates Valentine's Day, which for me means sweet-talk the hell out of her just because that's the kind of friendship we have, the rattle each other's cage kind.

UPDATE: Turns out she called me. At 1:23 this morning, because she knows my schedule and that Jim Croce song I posted on her Facebook ("I'll Have To Say I Love You In A Song") touched her and made her smile. Now she thinks I'm just so sweet...if only she'd get over her asshole ex-boyfriend, I'd really be getting somewhere.

School, study for the 4 midterms in 3 days I have to write, go to work, come home and write some RPs and continue to study, burn around on my social networks and pack for my cruise. Not a lot of room for Valentine's Day this year, even if I did have someone to spend it with XD
