Valve's Lawn Gnome Murders Dinosaurs In Fan-Made Game Trailer


Unofficial Valve mascot Gnome Chompski is tired of being carried and ready to star in a game of his own.

If you've become obsessed with some of Valve Software's titles such as Left 4 Dead 2 and Half-Life 2, you may be already familiar with the friendly, useless garden gnome, Gnome Chompski. Thanks to the hard work of of the team at FineLeatherJackets, Gnome Chompski now stars in a trailer for Gnome Chompski: The Game.

Of course the parody revolves around the disappearance of fictional heroes of Earth such as Duke Nukem and Gordon Freeman because why wouldn't it? Gnome's only way to save the world is to take up his trusty chainsaw and his high-flying jetpack in an effort to destroy the zombie/dinosaur invasion.

The fan-made trailer for Gnome Chompski: The Game features plenty of great moments including Chompski's apparent run-in with crazed director Tommy Wiseau, famed for creating the terrible yet beloved movie The Room [http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0368226/].

If you haven't had a run in with Gnome Chompski, he's a in-game item that can be carried through the entirety of Half-Life 2: Episode 2 for an achievement as well as through the "Dark Carnival" campaign in Left 4 Dead 2.

One can only dream that Valve will be inspired to give Gnome Chompski a game of his own. Someday, perhaps. Someday.

This is awesome and hilarious. I saw it before, when he uploaded it (I've been subbed to FineLeatherjackets for quite a while, he makes some nice stuff). Loved it, and you can never go wrong with "Invaders must die".
Also, the punchline made me lol pretty bad.

I do believe the whole video is done in Gmod so i suppose he downloaded some props or whatnot dinosaurs and maps etc. from some Gmod database web-page thingy-place and made them move a bit.
At least that's what i think... the movements of the dino seemed very Garrys-Mod-like.

After doing a bit of searching I think it might be from this http://www.garrysmod.org/downloads/?a=view&id=3675 but someone has animated them.

I also found a guy bragging about how he had animated a spinosaurus to hunt and instagib npcs but he wasn't releasing the mod.

Either that or its pre-loaded/leaked content from Dino D-Day (world war 2 with dinosaurs) or Jurassic Park

EDIT-bit more looking around and I found this: http://www.garrysmod.org/downloads/?a=view&id=99863 it has a few dependencies but that T-Rex looks amazing.

What are you talking about? I totally said Ep3 and didn't just go and edit that at all.

As far as TBB, Valve recently mentioned they were still working on HL in an interview, which is pretty much a confimation. The box will be blue because the portals are orange and blue and they already used orange.

I'd be wary of giving Valve any new ideas for games... Because at the rate we are going, we'll probably end up seeing Team Fortress 3 before Ep3/HL3 are out...

I mean look at this commercial he did back in 2006
That was a whole 3 years before UP came out.

That's just because RG is the older brother and got his career started before GC. RG tragically died to a swarm of Infected, leaving his younger brother to carry on the family legacy.

Also, RG may be a trendsetter, but he's still lame. I totally asked him for a ride one time and he wouldn't give me one.
