[VIDEO] An actual GOOD Minecraft Machinima, not just another LP!!!

Hey all,

Long-time lurker on these forums and I thought I'd sign up to show you guys something I stumbled across, since I know a lot of people on these forums like Minecraft. It's probably the first really well-done Machinima in Minecraft. Apparently it's made by real indie filmmakers, and they use the same professional techniques in Minecraft as they do in real life. I was surprised when I first saw it cuz I thought it was just gonna be some stupid crap like you usually see, but it was really good!

There are only two episodes and a little behind the scenes for the first one, but I found them charming and funny, even if they are short, about 5 minutes each. Both the episodes were featured on the minecraftforum.net digital diamonds thingy, but I wanted to put them here too so all you escapists could share in the fun. Hopefully they'll continue the series! If they do I think they could probably eventually rival yogscast!

What do you guys think?

I'm pretty sure the voice acting is cheesy on purpose but I love both episodes it's funny as hell to me.

I almost died laughing when he screamed "THE BURNING LAKE"! The style of humor reminds me of Monty Python.

This isn't bad. But if you've experienced Gamerchap's Minecraft videos everyone else just seems sub par.

As long as you are not full of yourself and think this is comedic gold then I say you're on the right path.

I was kinda expecting worse voice acting because of the comments here, voices were fine for me though

Seriously though, the burning lake part alone was enough to make it worth watching twice xD

Sorry if this came off as advertising, I didn't make these, I just saw them and thought they were worth sharing. I'll update the OP to reflect that.

I've personally gone off LPs recently, seem like such a waste of time, especially for minecraft.

I'm not really sure you can compare the two. One is well-crafted Machinima and the other is an LPer with commentary in an annoying voice.
