Video Game Confessions

This thread's sole purpose is to admit anything that would cause the average nerd to rage.

For example, I did not care for the N64. It was an okay console, sure, but the library of games for the system was small and not very impressive. You did have great support from Nintendo and Rare, but everywhere else, most developers opted for other platforms. I didn't even care for many or the big two's games. Most of them I liked, but more than a few games seemed vastly overrated to me (Goldeneye, LoZ: OoT, and Diddy Kong Racing to name a few). It's not even that I lack nostalgia. In fact, the N64 was my first console ever and my first game ever was Super Mario 64 (a great game mind you). I just never saw it as more than an alright console. Not saying it's bad, just saying that despite some innovations it's nothing spectacular in my eyes.

I don't care for Oblivion. I thought it was boring as hell and the level up system was very strange. Plus all characters have that Bethesda quality, with the ugly fat faces and the ramrod stiff dialogue.

I think the Metroid series and the Mega Man series are both complete shit. Especially the newer games.

Well, I wouldn't know about any video game confessions that would make nerds rage, but as for stuff in general: I don't care for Firefly, Joss Whedon or Nathan Fillion.

Basically this. I love Fallout 3 though, despite the many similarities.

Hmmm, it seems that this thread is on the verge of being a hate thread, MUST RE-RAIL!

I never beat LoZ OoT, I got to the final boss of the shadow temple (last one for me), kept losing, and just kind of stopped. This was when I was 5, and i don't want to finish it now, i feel that would be treading on sacred ground.

I haven't cared for Nintendo since I only found four games for the Gamecube that I enjoyed. I feel like I grew and they didn't.

Despite it being my favorite game ever, I never actually played StarCraft competitively or followed the pro scene that much. I only really played for the UMS custom games, but never did any ICCUP or anything like that.

During freshman year of high school I would come home and go straight to my room where I would play game until dinner. Eat dinner, then straight back to my room until bed time. Never did my Geometry homework.

Every night... again and again... until the game was beat... then I would play another one.

Such games include (but not limited to): Legend of Legaia, Kingdom Hearts 1&2, Zelda, Sim Earth (the one for the SNES), Star Trek Academy (again for SNES), and a couple others I can't remember. That would have to be the closest I came to outright addiction.

Nerd rage? Anime and JRPGs are the worst creation in the world and need to be purged. It's a plague on creative media as a whole.

Perfect Dark was better than Goldeneye.....

I don't like Team Fortress 2 nor Left 4 Dead. I think they're very shallow and dated games that bring nothing new to the table. Please don't try to "prove me wrong". I get that you like the games. It's cool. I have nothing against you for it, nor do I think less of you.

I can't play Minecraft in single player, only in multiplayer with friends. Which means I haven't played it in about a month or two.

When I see someone being a dick in a game, I try to make them rage harder =X

I hate Zelda and Team Fortress 2. I also think "retro" games (prior PS1) are overrated. Go on, Escapist; eat me alive!

EDIT: Perfect Dark is a travesty and Perfect Dark Zero is way better.

Zelda games are all annoying, they take way to long to get into. also the puzzles SUCK!

Bioshock and Team Fortress 2 are total shit. Valve games tend to be only slighty better than mediocre.

The gamecube was the best console of it's generation. IMO
