Quick question, and I know this will seem dumb, but I assume full name, not only first name, right?
EDIT: Screw it, put in my full name.
Filled it in, good luck for your course mate.

Done.

Not to onerous, especially considering you're not just joining the Escapist Forums for this (like some other survey pushers).

If you still need information there was this great article on Kotaku a while back...

I wouldn't be able to tell if you would have time to make use of it, but just in case.

Hope that helped, my taste in videogames and films happens to have just gone through a very weird run, so I'm not sure if some of the choices will even be recognisable

Thank you all so much for taking part! I was a little worried I might receive some flak from the community for posting it up. Anyway I can't thank you enough!

It was entirely your choice :) thank you for participating! You have no idea how much this is going to help me!

Yeah, I have obviously not been a very vocal member of the community, as you can see by my post count, but I am normally around, just watching the videos, reading the articles and reading around the forums too. I think after how great everyone has been this is the motivation I need to get a bit more involved with you guys :D Thank you very much for taking part :D

They are very useful, I have had a surprising number of responses thanks to you guys and a few friends on Facebook, I've started collating the data for the research project and it is looking good. Once again thank you very much for taking part :D

Done fella. Hopefully it's what you needed, and I hope your coursework all goes well!
It is exactly what I needed! :D Thank you for the well wishes and thank you for participating, it is going very well at the moment, the course is in Creative Media Production so it involves making films, radio shows, video games, and editorials. It also involves a lot of contextual studies for each subject and a lot of theory work. Basically it is an all-encompassing course; right now I am making a short film, making a game and doing this research document. It is a lot of fun but a lot of hard work :D sorry for rambling, but thank you so much for helping me out :D

Submitted my info for you.

Hope this helps you out, and good luck with your thing!
Again, thank you just so damned much for taking the time to fill it in! I know the questions could have done with having a bit more time in choosing them and I know it was a little rushed, but thank you for putting up with that too! Your input has been invaluable :D

That article is amazing! Thank you so much for the link! I have read about a few of the studies before but having that as a complete reference document as well to corroborate with some of the other sources I have is perfect! Yet again, thank you so much for your help and your time!!!

I honestly cannot thank each of you enough for all your help, just know that I am eternally grateful and in your debt. I like to believe I am a man of my word, so if you ever need help with anything, just send me a PM and I will see if i can help you out :D Once again, at the risk of sounding like a very broken record, thank you so much for helping me out! You guys are the best! :D

Oh, and I won't name them, but if they happen to read this post, whoever it was who said they watched Roughnecks...I love you!

Post your favorite answers once you've read them.
Thanks for taking part :D

Not sure I would be able to do that since in the consent form part it says the information will be used for educational purposes only and part of my course is on the ethics of this sort of thing :/ If people are okay with it then maybe but I'm not sure how I would go about getting that permission :/ Although I have to admit there were some very good answers :D

Any reason why question 15 (the entire intention that the survey is building up to) does not have an 'explain' box?

Done and done. Would love to see the results and interesting answers some time once you've compiled it all.

Yes, I was surprised by this as well.

Partly because I feel like the answer is given before with the question about real life violence verses video game violence, and also partly because of my reasons for the other questions like the "how was your day" one (surprisingly I actually do have a reason for it), but mostly because I am a f***ing idiot sometimes and I probably should have triple checked it *facepalm*

Urghhh, I can't actually recall the last three games I completed or played enough of to have a good opinion D: I filled it out to the best of my ability though, hopefully my weird-ass answers don't throw off your results too much. You should share the results somewhere when you're done, I'm always interested in seeing surveys like these.

Mine too, my last three movies were Triangle, Ocen's Thirteen, and Cabin in the Woods. Teach me to try showing people some movies they'd never heard of that they'd love.

Games for me were Sandbox for iOS, Far Cray 3, and LA Noire. I'm not sure what that's supposed to say about me. =p

Hey, first of thanks for helping me out with the survey! Don't worry about your answers at all, every detail is significant even if you think it is a little 'weird' :p

Also, since everyone is asking to see the results, I suppose that since everyone seems interested and as long as I could find an appropriate way to present the information to you I could put it up at once the unit has been handed in? I'm not quite sure what would be the most appropriate method to put it up, would you want to just read the final product I produce for my unit? (Baring in mind I am a Level 4 HNC/D Student at a College in England and in no way a professional researcher etc.)

While I think about it, apologies for the omission of a "Please explain your answer" box on the final question. In hindsight I should have triple checked all of the questions and probably planned it out a little more thoroughly to make sure I hadn't left anything out at all but in this case I was a bit of a moron. I still think I am getting similar information from the explain box about the difference about real violence and violence in video games so not all is lost, and this will make a very nice bit of reflection for my evaluation of my research at the end! :)
