Video Reviews: Are they a thing of the past?

I haven't seen any video reviews lately. Am I missing them or are they just not being made anymore? It's pretty nice being able to listen to reviews while I work.

EDIT: I'm only referring to Escapist reviews, and that excludes Zero Punctuation. I feel like there used to be a lot more video reviews of games on this site, but a lot of major releases haven't had them(like batman). It appears they are not gone completely but it definitely seems to be trending to a much lower number per capita if you will than before and I am curious why that is the case. Anyone have some insight?

Yeah, video reviews are out there. You do have to do some searching, but they are out there. Look up YouTube or Google, which would lead you to YouTube. I'm sure they have reviews of almost any type of media that you can think of, even operas.

Whether you like the reviews or reviewers, or not, is another matter.

But I can understand the confusion. Many of the game reviews on here are just text. And then there's ZeroPunctuation...

Sorry, there was a meeting and it was decided that squirrels were no longer required. They shall be replaced by walking coconuts that cuss at inappropriate times.

OT: Try searching on youtube there are quite a few. Some good ones on this site too.

Gametrailers.com does nothing but videos for their reviews, the Escapist and IGN still do them too. What would replace video reviews on the internet? I honestly can't think of anything myself, even written reviews are still common online.

Now, reviews in newspapers, those are few and far between. Even then, they still exist as well.

The TC might be asking just about the Escapist reviews. I saw the new Batman review and I was disappointed there was no video to go along with the review.

I think that the OP was referring to video reviews on the Escapist. We get very few of them as of late, even more major releases like Arkham Origins.
