How do you plan on doing so? and i don't think Crash bandicoot 1 is the proper choice to start off with but to each his own i guess.

1. I chose this game because on youtube I got a certain number of subscribers so I wanted to do something nice
2. I think im okay with that particular game cause this isnt my first (youtube, around 500 vids last I checked)
3.too bad, I really wanted to do it

I'd love to see that as a feature on the Escapist. Unlikely that it will be, but still, something for the staff to consider, perhaps? And as for you're ambitions, just try writing it in a massive spoiler (or set of spoilers) in a Gaming Discussion thread. Seems like the most apt place for it right now...

I would totally be down for that, I made a short Ocarina of Time Walkthrough for the Forest Temple back in 2007 and it got a few supporters, I actually got subscribers! But I didn't continue like I promised haha.

As for the OT, I would post my 6 vid walkthrough if The Escapist had a new section for User-made Walkthroughs

I suppose it's not a bad idea, though I'm curious as to what it could offer better than GameFAQs (besides likeable people and intelligent discourse, obviously).

I mean, no harm in bringing the suggestion up, it just seems like other places already have that area quite sufficiently covered.

I don't see why crash needs a walkthrough the only thing that was truly hard to figure out was getting the hidden boxes. The bosses where all easy, but a walkthrough section wouldn't be bad it would just be horrendous to see that all fit on one of these pages.

thanks for the info guys, I guess the escapist isnt for walkthroughs then ;)>
I would contact Susan Arendt about it to get the full scoop. But I think the Escapist would rather have newer game walkthroughs.

While I like the idea of a walkthrough section on the site, I'm curious as to why Crash Bandicoot would need a walkthrough; most of the difficulty in the game came from the platforming and such, which wasn't exactly hard to figure out, but rather hard to do correctly.

Using a game that someone is willing and eager to do a walkthrough for as a starting point will be a good idea, it will most likely be pretty comprehensive and is a game most people are fairly familiar with.

This means it will enable the people in charge to get an idea of anything that needs to be implemented to support walkthroughs, plus it will give everyone a chance to get used to commenting/helping out with revisions to the walkthroughs as most will know Crash Bandicoot well themselves.

Thank you, if they do decide to setup a walkthrough mechanic or just plain upload video mechanic then I will be glad (espacially if it was because of this thread)

It might only have to be something as simple as a subforum titled "Walkthroughs" and people uploading vids to Youtube and linking them, maybe a request thread could be made and stickied so anyone that has a specific problem (such as "I can't find the Intel items on this level on Modern Warfare 2, can anyone show me without spoilers please?") can get their answers.

If it becomes successful enough, it could serve to increase traffic to the forums in general, plus everyone seems to get along here so I am sure there would be plenty of people to make walkthroughs/help out with existing ones if it actually takes off.

I have just talked to Susan and apparently walkthroughs would go under "advertising", which the escapist isnt to fond of. Thanks guys you really helped :)

Well that's too bad, I was hoping to see some walkthroughs on this site.
