I am a new member but have been doing walkthroughs for some time on a different channle, I just want to know if I can start a Crash Bandicoot 1 walkthrough on the escapist. If so how is it done here?
I would totally be down for that, I made a short Ocarina of Time Walkthrough for the Forest Temple back in 2007 and it got a few supporters, I actually got subscribers! But I didn't continue like I promised haha.Pimppeter2 said:I don't think the Escapist has a feature for that. Though I guess its about time.
I would contact Susan Arendt about it to get the full scoop. But I think the Escapist would rather have newer game walkthroughs.sixinthehood said:thanks for the info guys, I guess the escapist isnt for walkthroughs then>
Thank you, if they do decide to setup a walkthrough mechanic or just plain upload video mechanic then I will be glad (espacially if it was because of this thread)Captain Awesome said:Using a game that someone is willing and eager to do a walkthrough for as a starting point will be a good idea, it will most likely be pretty comprehensive and is a game most people are fairly familiar with.
This means it will enable the people in charge to get an idea of anything that needs to be implemented to support walkthroughs, plus it will give everyone a chance to get used to commenting/helping out with revisions to the walkthroughs as most will know Crash Bandicoot well themselves.
It might only have to be something as simple as a subforum titled "Walkthroughs" and people uploading vids to Youtube and linking them, maybe a request thread could be made and stickied so anyone that has a specific problem (such as "I can't find the Intel items on this level on Modern Warfare 2, can anyone show me without spoilers please?") can get their answers.sixinthehood said:Thank you, if they do decide to setup a walkthrough mechanic or just plain upload video mechanic then I will be glad (espacially if it was because of this thread)Captain Awesome said:Using a game that someone is willing and eager to do a walkthrough for as a starting point will be a good idea, it will most likely be pretty comprehensive and is a game most people are fairly familiar with.

Well that's too bad, I was hoping to see some walkthroughs on this site.sixinthehood said:I have just talked to Susan and apparently walkthroughs would go under "advertising", which the escapist isnt to fond of. Thanks guys you really helped![]()
