Ya, is weird, isn't it? Why I want to play games which can't buy from Steam, GoG and Desura?
Because you can find some very nice unique games, that why

So I decided in honor of a similar Thread I created in the past, to put different videogames which you can buy and maybe hope to became well-known and play them in the future of Steam or in something similar. And of course to be good games.

For example

Kero Bluster, from the creator of Cave Story!!!!

Cypher: Cyberpunk Text Adventure

VA-11 HALL-A

List:

Kero Bluster - http://www.playism-games.com/games/keroblaster/#

I haven't seen the Tenchu games anywhere, but I figure GoG or Steam or something like them will get around to those one year.

Weren't they Playstation exclusives? How can a PC-oriented website sell stuff that hasn't come out on PC at all?

I know very little about the digital translation of one thing to another, but I figure there's some kind of workaround. Then again, I understand Dark Souls was not initially meant to be on the PC and got a terrible port as a result. Maybe some things remaining unavailable is just less of a headache.

I haven't checked in a while, but I could never find anything in the Myst series beyond Riven. It makes me sad.

I think it's more about legal stuff and licensing rather than the technicalities. AFAIK Tenchu is a franchise owned by Sony and therefore will never come out on PC.

Well, drat. I'd complain more, but there are other stealth games out there. Maybe fading into obscurity means the Tenchu series is doing it's job on some level. :D

Any of the Star Trek licensed games from Activision such as Elite force or Armada. They keep an extremely tight leash on them.

Arent there about 5 Myst games on GOG atm inc Riven.

As for myself I am waiting for the microprose version and its expansions to be released on GOG or anywhere I can get them I still have the original game and one of the expansions but its a pain to get working (or obtain if you havent got it) and Magic Online and the yearly updated Magic games dont offer the same quality and/or value for money as this game did.

System shock 1. Steam & gog both have system shock 2, but the only copy of system shock 1 I've been able to find was in the form of a load of floppy disks on ebay, for a fair bit more than I'm willing to pay. I can be a real stickler for only experiencing things in the correct order, so it may be quite a while before I get a chance to play system shock 2.

No One Lives Forever. At least, it's not available right now, but hopefully soon [http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2014/05/02/no-one-lives-forever-re-release/].

I can't believe Escape from Butcher Bay STILL only comes in used retail form.
Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena comes with a remastered version of Butcher Bay. It's been removed from Steam but it's still on GoG.

Really hope it does. Have given up trying to get NOLF 1 to work on my computer, and never even played the second one.

Perhaps doesn't quite count, but Battlefield 2 has been taken off of Steam and Origin, which is a shame, as the mods Project Reality and Forgotten Hope 2 are the best single and multiplayer shooters around IMHO.

Yes, but 2 of them are remakes of the original (RealMyst and Remastered Edition), 5, Uru the spin-off would-be mmo, and Riven. No sign of 3 and 4 (Exile and Revelation I believe), which are the ones I'm missing.

And I refuse to play them out of order, so I've only played the original and Riven and can't very well play 5 before 3 and 4. Also I've heard mixed things about Uru anyway, since it kind've got dumped by the wayside when the whole "multiplayer in an otherwise singeplayer series" thing didn't really take off, apparantly to the makers surprise.

The TNG era Star Trek games are probably going to be in permanent limbo due to Activision's rather acrimonious departure from the license. (calling out Paramount/Viacom publicly for ruining the franchise with Enterprise and Star Trek Nemesis) TOS Era games were largely made by Interplay, and they went tits up quite sometime ago so I don't know who exactly owns those these days.

At this point, I doubt Activision and CBS/Paramount care enough to try to hammer out any sort of deal to re-release the old Star Trek tie in games, especially with the prime continuity effectively dead outside of Star Trek Online and the tie-in novels.

Maybe I passed out Fable 3 style but it seems like Nintendo quietly launched and then quietly pulled Kirby: Return to Dreamland on the Wii. You can still find it online sure but it's similar to Xenoblade Chronicles in that it's expensive to buy online and is impossible to find offline. It's a really recent game too...far more recent that Super Mario Galaxy, SMG2, Smash Bros Brawl, DKCountry Returns and Smash Bros Brawl, which are all still widely available and easily found in various big box retailers...though I admit, I haven't been to a best buy in about a year and a half...

No kidding. After I lost my armada 2 disk, I went looking for a replacement, but wow are they hard to find...
