"Virus" Trouble

I guess this is the right place to post this, maybe. When I got home from school today, I found a message on my computer from AVG stating that I had a virus called "heur32". Research into it tells me that it's a virus that can spread itself to other systems in the computer, etc. Oddly, however, the file it claims is infected with said virus is Perfect World, a game I downloaded several years ago and never bothered to uninstall.

Also of note, my computer doesn't actually have AVG, yet "AVG" claims that I had the virus. One scan of malware bytes came up with the files as infected, but attempting to heal them seemed to cause it to stop running effectively. Closing the program and scanning again, a full scan with microsoft security essentials and further quick scans with Malwarebytes has come up with nothing. Also of note is that, in the past, Rogueware such as windows defender 2011 has claimed that the same files were infected through its popups. Windows task manager does not come up with anything in processes as heur or anything of the sort, despite many people saying it would come up.

However, for safety's sake, would it be worth it to do a system restore to yesterday or the day before, and would this mitigate the virus? I'm not that great with computers, and an easy way to understand if something's actually wrong would be helpful. Obviously I'm biased to think this is a freak incident, but advice on this would be much appreciated.

You say that AVG detected this virus yet you tell me that you do not own this said software, if this is true then look into it further, It could be a false positive yet you tell me a software you do not own detected said virus,

Scan your computer
System restore
If your paranoid reformat

Better safe then sorry

Erm, I'd check that you actually do have AVG installed or not. If it's not genuine AVG then you may have more problems than you bargained for.

Sometimes MMO .exes have a habit of triggering false positives, but can't see a correlation between that virus and Perfect World on google.

Windows System Restore is not a reliable way of getting rid of viruses, due to the fact that viruses have been known to infect the restores anyway.

Having proper AVG installed is not a bad idea ¬¬.
