I'm planning on getting a Vita pretty soon. Here's the deal, my brother has a PS Plus account on our PS3. I thought that when I got the Vita I'd just be able to sign into his account, download the free Vita titles and sign back into mine. As it turns out I can't. He and I had the idea of getting two memory cards. One for PS Plus and one for everything else since apparently our accounts will only work on one card. This seemed to be perfect until I realized the horrible tedious process that is switching memory cards. Is there anyway around this? All I want is to download his PS Plus games and keep playing with my account. Is that possible?

Sorry, but as far as I am aware, there is only 3 ways to resolve this.

1. Memory card swapping between your account and your brothers.

2. Stay logged in to your brothers account to play the ps+ games.

3. Get PS+ on your account.

There isn't a way to play games from one account on another on vita as far as I am aware.

Okay. I'll either just play on his account for the time being or get my own PS Plus thing because all those free games are too good to just let go of. I may just buy PS Plus myself. $50 a year isn't too bad for what I get.

Honestly, I am not sure, but as far as I am aware in order to swap accounts with the 1 memory card, it needs to be formatted between account swaps.

So you would log out of the first account, reformat the memory card, then log in to the other account.

That is only what I have read though, another escapist might be able to provide more details on it.

I dunno, I don't really think the memory card swap is all that bad. Just power off the Vita, swap the cards, and turn it back on. It's even easier if you won't get confused and have some physical games saved to the one card so you're constantly switching trying to figure out what's saved where, though I suppose you'd need some system to remember which card is for what.

Personally, I don't have PS+ just because my internet isn't all that good and I don't have the money to spend on spare hard drive space for my PS3/Vita, but the deals are pretty good on it. But I can't speak for how easy/difficult it is to play multi-account games on one Vita, because I've only ever used my own account. I believe the PS3 allows use of downloaded titles regardless of who's logged in, but I could be wrong and/or it could be different for the Vita.

EDIT: Either way, theoretically it should be possible for you to log into whatever account you like on the Vita so long as you have the information and (not sure about this) it's not logged in on another Vita.

Sony, why must you make things so difficult!? This would be so much easier if it was just set up like the PS3.

I found this. I want to get this confirmed before I buy the Vita. SOMEONE TELL ME THIS IS TRUE! http://r-ch.net/vita-multiple-psn-accounts.html

Pretty sure that is true, that is why you have to swap memory cards to swap accounts.

It says it's possible to do it with one card though.
Well yes, but it won't be possible to play the games from your brothers ps+ account on yours, you would have to stay logged in to your brothers account.

"Games and apps obtained from the PS Store off different accounts can live on the same memory card. However, you will get an error when trying to launch them off any account other than the one it was purchased on."

Edit: In saying that, if you have a big enough memory card to keep both accounts games on there, or most of your games are physical copies then swapping accounts with 1 card would be fine. If you don't have enough space on the 1 card, then you would have to either buy a bigger card or get 2 cards.

Okay. I'm thinking I'll just buy myself PS Plus at this point just so I won't deal with the annoyances of it. After all, he and I won't be sharing a PlayStation for much longer. So it would probably be a good idea.
