Hi All

I thought I'd post up a link to my Youtube channel, which contains a few demo clips of my voice acting. I'm looking to get into voice acting/voiceover and would appreciate any advice and criticism from people on my voice. If you've had voice acting experience that'd be double awesome, but I'm really looking for as much critique as possible so I can improve and start auditioning for stuff!

The sound quality should be steadily improving too, but if any tech wizards have any tips for improving the sound I'd be really grateful.

Here's my latest clip: [youtube v=4FeDcMDMBKE]

Channel link is http://www.youtube.com/user/jc5124

If you're a budding VA too, add me on Facebook or follow me on Twitter and I'll be sure to reciprocate.

Many Thanks!

The best way to get out there is to find other, already successful voice actors, and ask them for advice on breaking into the industry. No one is going to discover you, you have to go out and make it happen by getting your foot in the door any way that you can. I wanted to get into voice acting once and got hired for a couple of internet radio commercials, didn't pay much though. It's a fun hobby, but terribly difficult to get into without formal training or mad networking skills/industry connections.

note; Captcha was "one hit wonder". --___--

Are you a part of any online voice acting communities? I use voiceactingalliance.com whenever I'm bored and want to VA a bit. Sometimes paid gigs pop up, but it's more or less just for doing free stuff, which is very useful for building a portfolio. If you want more professional stuff, look for companies that record demos for people and distribute samples. You may have to pay a pretty penny for them to record you and keep your stuff on file, but if you've got the money it might just be worth it. Plus, a professionally recorded demo will just look better and make you seem just a bit more motivated than all the other yokels on the Internet looking to break into VA.
