The only waffles I've had are Eggos, and Hotel bed and breakfast waffles I prefer the Eggos, and they are round.

I prefer pancakes or French toast... I always found waffles to be inferior compared to other breakfast foods that are to be drenched in syrup.

- they stack more easily, so you can carry them better
- with the same diameter, the square has more waffle, which is better =3.
- no corners makes it harder to start somewhere.
