Eyes.

Like horrifying scary eyes looking at me, staring at me, like I am being watched by some kind of monster.

Why is it looking at me? What do you want?!

See what I mean? There is just something about this scary aspect that I feel people take for granted in the Horror genre. The idea of being watched and eyes staring at YOU.

Also another example of scary eyes looking at me is 2 things.

Majora's Mask and the Moon, espcially the Moon:

As a kid I got nightmares of it looking at me and than making a maniacle smile and just immidietly fell down on the earth at the speed of a freakin Comet.

What I find scary at this moment is moving house.

I've lived in my current house for as long as I can remember. My memories are so entwined with the building that I find it impossible to separate them.

Yet the council want me out because the house is now under occupied. I find it terrifying to think of other people, even a single person, moving around the space that I consider to be mine.

I'm 40 years old, I don't remember living anywhere else. I keep getting told all this will benefit me but it's going to kill me financially and emotionally.

Good start. Now put googly eyes on the house and we've got a movie!

"Eyes in the darkness" is one thing guaranteed to get to me. It's a triple-NOPE in that you know there's something there, it could very well see you, and eyes are not supposed to fucking glow dammit.

I mean, even cute cuddly sheep look creepy as hell with glowing eyes.
