It's Caesar. Although naming the leader of a slave uprising after Caesar is rather questionable in and of itself, "Ceaser" would be the one who stops the uprising.

You know, I'm starting to think that the people who make these movies are kind of like Americans (or American film studios, anyway) with Godzilla: they just don't get it. Every Planet of the Apes movie was worse than the previous one (save for Battle, which was half-decent). It was a good system, a reliable system, one that pushed itself ever closer to the great dream of "not having to make any more Planet of the Apes movies". Tim Burton understood that.

But these folks... They're making new Planet of the Apes movies that don't suck. Something is wrong with this picture.

Eh, wait and see. Sure, it'd likely suck, but this is something you could do another film of (maybe), and no reason from the trailer to say either way yet.

Maybe he'll eventually pick up some roman-esque clothes and starts reigning terror over Mojave.

Man, you guys at the Escapist really don't like anything, huh?

I can't wait for this thing to come out. Rise and Dawn were both fantastic.

Also - Caesar is probably one of the most badass characters in recent history.

Some are just very picky or serious about their stuff here. Me, I just let go and enjoy the fun.

Also, great teaser. Love it. What I don't like are comments and memes about fucking Harambe. Fuck sakes people. Talk about being a dead horse and killing an unfunny joke. BE CREATIVE!

I will see it, the last two movies were pretty good (holes aside), and likely the best think to come out of the franchise in the last 35 years...

I'm calling it right now! At the end, after total domination of the humans, a couple of apes are taking a celebratory horseback ride down a beach and discover a hunk of Spaceball One.

"There goes the planet."

Honestly I wonder how people survive being so negative and cynical all the time.

I think this franchise is pretty good. Not ground-breaking but entertaining movies that are fun to see in the theater.

I liked Rise quit a bit, Dawn was so-so; Koba turning into an outright villain ruined the conflict.

I'm more wondering where they're gonna go with this sequel, since Dawn didn't achieve much in the grand scheme. Assuming this is the final movie in this trilogy this will likely show the apes taking over the Earth. And beyond that being a lot of ground to cover in one movie, I don't see what else they can show us other than Ceasar befriending another sympathetic human which he eventually will need to turn his back on to stay loyal to his ape brethren.

I'd like it if this movie would only be from the apes perspective and just ignored the humans. None of that 'one sympathetic human white guy so the audience has someone to relate to'. Just stick with the apes, no more boring humans please.
