sure, cause World of Warcraft sucks and they're making Diablo 3 multiplayer only so they could use something with actual single player (other than SC 2 which I must say was actually good)

I think its been made abundantly clear that WoW IS warcraft 4..... 5, 6, 7 and soon to be 8 respectively. (if expansions are viewed as regular installments)

You can ignore the expansions taking up numerals based on being expansions and wish for Warcraft 5, which that would be fine. However as your putting it, Stop wasting time on Wow? Why would ANY company stop sinking their time and effort that is making them more money than a sacred cash cow with sacred tits?

Because it would be fucked. The lore is no longer designed for an rts game. The horde and alliance sides would have to include every race. And if they wanted to keep the mmo going they would need to make sure no city is destroyed and they couldn't favor one side. Also races like the forsaken would have to still be on friendly terms with the horde at the end of the game.

This. It seems to be one of the more prevalent opinions getting around, that Blizzard are somehow 'wasting time' on something that millions of people around the world still love, and is therefore still insanely profitable. Remember the drama when Hellgate:London closed? Imagine what would happen if WoW did that?

I honestly think the major problem with Warcraft going back to RTS is that there is very little more that Blizzard can do with the concept without going to a 4x style, which they have historically been averse to due to the prohibitive difficulty of such games. Warcraft 3 was the pinnacle of micro-based RTS, and I honestly don't know how much more they can do with it. I think WoW is a great way to continue the IP in a more sustainable genre.

RTS fans, feel free to tear me apart here.

It'll happen eventually, just give it a few decades. Not like Blizzard are exactly known for their speedy game releases anyway and at least with WOW the universe, such as it is, is there for you to explore should you feel the need for some hot Human on Orc action.

Why? So they could make it without LAN and with only one campaign and then sell you the rest as expansions? No, thanks.

Starcraft 1 had 30 missions, Starcraft 2 has 29 plus challenges, achievements and different difficulty modes. I don't give a shit about LAN so I don't think it would be fair to comment on it. Shush.

I would love another Warcraft RTS if they either retconned WoW out of existence or set it several decades in the future.

And hardly any story to go with it. What little was there - drivel.
Don't go passing your subjective opinions off as fact. Whether you think that the Starcraft 2 campaign was drivel or not is irrelevant, the fact of the matter is that Starcraft 2 has more content than Starcraft 1.

Let's see
They need to wrap up Diablo 3 first, than finish up the 2 remaining starcraft 2 expansions, than the inevitable diablo 3 expansion, and of course the most demanding project of the all the new MMO Titan. In all of this they still have several WoW expansions planed as well.

I don't doubt they will eventually make warcraft 4, but knowing Blizzard that "eventually" will be around 2054-2055.

As subjective as saying Epic Movie's story is complete shite. Don't fool yourself, expose yourself to more media if you actually think it's any good.
That fact that you ignored the main point of my post suggests that you can't disprove my argument.

Yes, saying Epic Movie's story is complete shit is your subjective opinion and shouldn't be passed off as fact, I'm sure a lot of people enjoyed that film just like the majority of people that played Starcraft 2 enjoyed its story.

If it makes you feel any better, OP, I'm in complete agreement with you. However, I doubt it'll happen, sadly.
