yeah it seems alot of ppl prefer 40k over the fantasy one.KingTiger said:I think they are separate universes but I cant claim knowing it for sure. They do seem pretty similar though with Chaos, Imperials and orks. I prefer 40k to be honest.
Well basically I think its a matter of the fantasy setting is basically a slightly darker clone of every other fantasy game ever created. The 40k universe has a little more feeling in it and is interesting because there really isn't any good guys.Korten12 said:yeah it seems alot of ppl prefer 40k over the fantasy one.KingTiger said:I think they are separate universes but I cant claim knowing it for sure. They were in 1st edition (I think, ill check) but have since been separated. The only real why they are linked is by the Warp.Korten12 said:I've been wondering, are Warhammer and Warhammer 40k in the same universe? or are they different universe just with a similar name?
Not really the only real similarity with Chaos are the deamons and the chaos gods. The Empire and the Imperium are two different things (Some state troops don't have shoes).KingTiger said:I think they are separate universes but I cant claim knowing it for sure. I've heard that about fantasy being a planet in the warp thing too and Sigmar was meant to be one of the missing primarchs tooseaotter said:I don't believe there has been a canon answer. I heard once that the 40k universe is enclosed in a magic bottle which is in the Warhammer fantasy universe. I've also heard that the Warhammer fantasy planet was in the 40k universe, but got sucked into the warp or something.
Warhammer has been around since the 80's. If anything, every fantasy game has ripped off of it...thethain said:Well basically I think its a matter of the fantasy setting is basically a slightly darker clone of every other fantasy game ever created.
