Warhammer: Fantasy or Lord of the Rings

not looking for a flame war this is just to see whether or not you think that one world (including races, map and history) , I love Tolkien's world but I think the Warhammer fantasy world is maybe better but i'm not sure. also both of them have had many many games made and i wanna know which are better to you people.

I personally like Lord of the Rings Warhammer, which i have ariund £400 + worth of. Lots of its painted but i pan to do lots more in the summer, such as both my Mumakil, 3 trolls, shelob etc.

I do also hvae some 40K, which is a chaos space marine bike and sosme tyranids - including a carnifex which needs finishing.

I think i prefer LOTR because not because of the variation of figures - because 40K clearly has a larger slection - but because i can relate to the films alot - and the LOTR films are some of my favourite.

The lord of the rings is a good book and some brilliant films but the Warhammer universe is so bloody awesome! Dark, gritty and nasty. Perfect.

I'm not sure quite what you are asking here but I am going to answer what I think it is "Which world do you prefer?"

Truth is I prefer the Warhammer world. Don't get me wrong LOTR is easily one of the best realised and most defining fantasy settings ever but my opinion is that the Warhammer world is simply that much broader in scope.

LOTR is one saga over several years on one continent.

Warhammer has an entire world at its disposal with so many different characters and sagas that trying to uncover/read them all would take a lifetime and its still growing.

I like warhammer fantasy. the storys are great so many racial backgrounds. Skaven FTW

I prefer Fantasy to Lord of the Rings, but that's what I started with, so I'm probably biased.

I love anything Warhammer related. Warhammer fantasy rocks almost as much as 40k. Dwarf slayers all the way.
