I was playing left 4 dead 2 and we were right near a safe house, Someone got incaped by a smoker and we couldent get to the poor bastard. So i threw a molotov at him and went into the safe house, he came in the next round and called me asshole. Was i unfair, escapeies

While it was a little morally inexcusable I think that ultimatley anyone else would do the same in a situation like that. Desperate times call for desperate measures.

He was on a balcony, nobody could get to him(I did kill the smoker first)

It was the right thing to do, you don't risk losing the whole level because a guy got himself incaped. Plus it's only a game.

In that case, you could have just saved the molotov for later. no need to waste it near the end of the level.

Hah, yeah those things happen, especially in left 4 dead. No, you weren't unfair at all. The molotov did kind of make you seem like a dick though (a funny dick, mind you), but I suppose you did it to save time.

It's a game. Possibly, depending on the situation details, it was not an optimal thing to do point wise. But losing 1 person for a few seconds is no where near as bad as a possible party wipe.

I do that all the time... to my friends, if it was someone random who i'm actually trying to play with id throw the molotov near them so it doesn't seem like i'm trying to teamkill.
