So i recently learned in school that if you recycle water bottles with the cap still on the recycling plant, company, etc... just throws them away! I want every escapian who reads this thread to remember this.
(i you cant remember to do this then imagine every time you forget a baby seal gets brutally clubbed)
Goodbye
EDIT
The water bottles have a different kind of plastic

Ah... so they do just throw them away... what a waste...
What if we like baby seals getting brutally clubbed?
...
Nevermind, I'll just take the caps off...

Don't always believe the teacher...

It could be true, but I can see them easily recycling them.

Calumon: We have one in our bag right now... I want baby seals to be okay... what do I do! >.<

Why, that's just pants-on-head retarded. Can't see what all the fuss is about. I mean they could have told us we need to open the caps.
But you know what's even more retarded? False advertising that the town recycles, but it actually takes all the trash and throws it way in a remote place. Man I hate my mayor(and all who are at power here)!

I never throw out my water bottles anyway. I just use them untill they start growing filth on them. Then i either clean it or put it in a cupboard never to be seen again.

just use that same bottle for everyday-life, fill it up with tap water/filtered water.

thats what my Mum does... to be honest, it just means we get less Dr.pepper in Bottles, we tend to just buy cans (which are hopefully recycled easier). Obviously though, there is still the problem of squash bottles and stuff. But i guess you'll just have to live with throwing the lid away and recycling the plastic bottle lid-lessly

I've switched to tap water anyways. My trash PET bottle output is meager. Beer cans, on the other hand...

"Oh my!" says a recycling plant employee. "This bottle still has a top on it! It's such a shame I have no opposible thumbs, or even hands at all with which to remove it myself. I guess I'll just have to through it away. It's so sad."
