Dear escapists we all have a dark side-a side which would hurt with out remorse,a side which does not care for any one else,and takes pleasure in pain.Most of the time we hide this side or ignore it.So my question to you is this,has this side ever come out,why did it come out,what did you do and who was present.

My dark side stems wholly from inaction, in the sense that I would never think of hurting someone for personal gain, let alone pleasure. (I save insects for heavens sake.) I can be hard to motivate and often let situations reach crisis point before I can be stirred. This manifests itself physically, my surroundings are usually untidy, I am unreliable at times (when reliability used to be something I prided myself on) and I tend to only take action after tempers have flared or real trouble has struck. This causes much harm in my dealings with others. I can occasionally come across as cold and unfeeling as well, though in reality I'm just rather inept socially.

Damn, spookily close to what i was gonna say.

Anyway, I used to get bullied a lot at school (intelligent, son of a priest, not good) until I went a bit 'nuts' and tore into three guys at the same time. They were two years (grades for you U.S. types) above me and one of them was the older brother of the guy who was bullying me. He kept telling me his older brother would kick my ass if i ever fought back. One day i went looking for his older brother and floored him and his two mates.

Never got any hassle after that.

Never got into any fights after that either. Yay for me.

I am very easy going and generally a calm person. One has to intentionally work at getting me angry, and no one does that better than my middle sister, and cyclists. I get blunt and very honest when angry, and usually say true things that should never be said. Yeah, me and my sister don't talk to each other often because of this.

the last time my dark side was fully let out was about a year and a half ago. when it comes out, i shout loud enough to temporarily deafen me. people do not like to see my dark side, since when it comes out i am still in partial control, and thus can still control my actions and be very malicious about it.

i have good enough self control to stop it coming out most of the time, but a few things can just trigger it's release instantly.

the last time i believe was at school, where people tried to steal from me. that is one of the things that makes me release it almost instantly.

It usually happens when people annoy me on a regular basis, I ignore it for a while until it explodes. I don't think and I seek to inflict as much pain upon my antagoniser as possible. I once attacked a guy at school with a hacksaw.

I have a dark side, it's the reason that the light side has to live in the shoe box under the bed, but i agree we all have a dark side, although mine usually comes out in defence of other people. For example, my friend, who shall not be named, is sometime pick on and well, i sometimes snap...
