Hello again everyone at The Escapist. d100Productions here with a new movie review for this week. This time I give my thoughts on the remake of The Karate Kid. I spent a little more time on my verbal skills for this review, however I still don't have a better microphone but I am dedicated to getting a new and good one for a reasonable price.

But I feel pretty good with this one, granted I always think I could do better... but. Eh. Gotta go with whatcha got. Anyways. Enjoy! And feel free to check my YouTube page for my other reviews if your curious.

Great review. You brought up some great points and the timing was near perfect. There are still some issues like the mic (but then that will be fixed soon) and near the end the music started to become distracting and eventually drown out your voice entirely. I guess the line "You're the best... around!" is just a little too catchy.

On the topic of Never Back Down, me and my friends used to tell everyone who asked about it "I like Never Back Down because it taught me to never back down (derp)". Needless to say it was a good film, but the bad guy (what's he called again?) borrows a little too much from Tyler Durden. I start talking about this movie, of course, because I haven't seen The Karate Kid, I suppose I should.

EDIT: Oh and did you know, a student in China is expelled if they have a relationship. They didn't think that through when they filmed the movie, but I guess that's a nitpick.

Lol. Expelled for having a relationship? Wow. That's hilarious! Mm, man. Wish I knew about that one >_<

And NBD... heh. Hard to really say why I liked it. Alot of reasons I guess.

It sticks to the formula of: guy gets in fight, loses. Guy meets girl, gets in fight over girl, loses. Guy has an epic montage, has fight over girl after an emotional speech about values and living your dream, wins. Credits.

True. I think I also liked the different take on the tournament as well. Course I felt like that movie was also a propaganda film for... was it set in Orlando right? They make it out that even if your living in a low-income apartment everyone around you is rich and hot. Huh. That wasn't the Orlando I saw when I went to Epcot when I was a sprout.
