Weapon of Choice?

What would be your weapon of choice in the real world? Give me a kind of weapon;i.e. Longsword not Excalibur. Also, what would be your weapon of choice from any videogame?

A gun that makes people catch on fire. And melt. And then the liquid catches on fire. And turns into smoke. And then the smoke catches on fire. Although it's preferred, it might not be plausible in the real world, so I'll just go with a scimitar. On fire. But, for a video game, I'd go with the first one.

Can't say. If modernity (is that even a word?) didn't count, I'd probably say a good shield and short sword or a halberd, spear, or polearm. If it did matter, I'd say a customized M4 or an AK-74. That goes for both real life and games.

The Spiked Chain from D&D.

Once I learn how to use it I can deal 2d4 damage, I get +2 on my disarm check, it has reach AND I can attack people next to me and I can make trip attacks with it.

Plus swinging a chain is just awesome =D
