Hey everybody, Weerez back with another review. So lets cut the introduction bullshit and get right on with the review.

FEAR 2: Project Origin is the sequal to F.E.A.R, in case you've been living under a rock for the past, oh lets say 4 years. It sets you, a member of an elite military force dedicated to investigating the paranormal. Sounds like your average episode of "Ghost Hunters" to me. You are Michael Becket, a member of a Special Forces team deployed at Armacham right BEFORE the huge explosion you triggered in F.E.A.R. 1.

Right off the bat you know this is almost going to be the same as FEAR 1. Run around, shoot Replica's, have a little scene where you turn around and a little girl is standing there, whatever. And it pretty much is just that. The only one minor change is that in the beginning you have to kill the people trying to do the same job as you; fuck up Armacham.

Now I played this game on PC because I think that in my personal opinion all of the fanboys of the consoles these days are facists (I <3 you, PS2!) so all of my hardcore gaming (and shitloads of money) goes into the PC. The PC version of FEAR 2 is absolute eye candy if you can run it. I can run this son of a gun maxed out. It is one of the prettiest games I've ever played (apart from the HDR in Half-Life 2 *drool*)

I must say, the only shitty part about buying this for the PC is that you have to go through STEAM activation which pretty much takes your game and hides it somewhere on their server. I put in the first disc and then when the first disc was done I put in the second and it didn't work. Goddamn it. What I ended up having to do was get a fresh install of STEAM (I backed up my Steamapps folder). The easier way to do it would have been to wait the 5 hours and download it straight from Steam.

Back to the game. Physics is meh. Sure the enemies slump over realistically, but so don't the enemies in EVERY SINGLE GAME ON THE MARKET RIGHT NOW!

The ending was a slap in the face, all of a sudden (much like the ending of FEAR 1) you get transported to some random place. This time it's outside, and you kill Alma yet again. You think you did it the first time, but fuck no, you do it again. It's like the Amityville Horror with little emo girls instead of ghosts.

But fuck, I liked it. I had a fun time playing this. I can't say much about the multiplayer because I've been too wrapped up in making games of my own, that and I play too much Counter-Strike. My recommendation is that is you liked FEAR 1, sure, go ahead and buy FEAR 2. Those who haven't played or didn't really like it? Don't buy it. It's all the same, minus a few new places to go and guns and whatnot.

I personally hated FEAR 2. There were no scary parts in it. At all.

Your structure of the review was.. Pretty choppy. I felt that you just jumped around from point to point without any flow. That may just be me, though. Pretty good review otherwise.

That's my style. I kind of have ADD when it comes to writing reviews. I'll be writing one part then go "Oh that reminds me about this" and totally write a new part
