I virtually one-hundred percent of the time have some sort of technical project on the back of my mind.
So far today I've thought about:
A new design for a space toilet, where-n'-how I'd dig swales [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swale_%28geographic_feature%29] to catch runoff, a rotary breech-locking system for a semiauto pistol, how to refurbish space-shuttle fuel tanks as space-station habitats, an idea for a 4-seat econo-box car, the layout for a decentralized planned community, inflatable solar concentrating mirrors for an asteroid material refinery, how I'd go about breeding an insect-resistant thorn free drought-tolerant black locust tree [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_locust] cultivar for rapid forestation of semi-arid land, blueprint for a high-density housing complex, design for a medium-scale 5-6 story vertical farm [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vertical_farming] using hydroponic growing methods and trout aquaculture...
My little mental hamster-wheel is ALWAYS motherfucking running, it's a good thing I don't mind and it means I always have something to talk about.
Now if only I'd actually go and try to build or do a more detailed design study of these ideas, I'm like some sort of criminally lazy Buckminster Fuller... [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buckminster_Fuller]
