So, I know there's been some mixed feelings about Sony's Welcome Back program, but I for one have definitely been taking full advantage of it. I've actually been waiting ever since the 5 free download games were announced to download Dead Nation and WipeOut, and I've also already gone through the entire Playstation Plus catalogue (only the free things, though.) Anyone else excited, or are you still mad about the whole hacker business in the first place, because I've kind of gotten over that already...

Never owned a PS3, but I've been keeping track on all this in case the same thing were to happen on Steam or something.

I've downloaded Stardust and WipeOut (both of which are Amazing), and looked into some of the PS+ Offerings, and I have to say that I'm not hating this.

Considering that Sony was a bigger victim in this case then we were, and honestly shouldn't have been expected to give us anything, I'm really not complaining about this.

I would have preferred if they just added funds to our PSN wallets instead of making us choose from a small list of games, but that's another issue entirely.

Well i didn't really get effected by the PSn outage as I play online on my PC and 360 more then the PS3. So I'm very happy with my new inFamous and Little Big Planet! :D

I've downloaded all the free stuff from PS+
and im currently downloading Infamous, LBP, Dead Nation and Wipeout (i had 2 accounts so i can download 4 games :D)

So.. 4 games (plus the several Ps+ free games) is well worth it for some downtime.

That would have just been a disaster. If they put that in, not only would they just end up giving a tonne of money to people with alt accounts, they couldn't control where people spent it. As it stands, they needed to make sure the games they gave away were their own, so they wouldn't be made even more out of pocket by the attack. Giving away their own games for free was the only way they could really afford it.
Oh, I agree completely. I meant hypothetically in a "perfect world" scenario.

Practically speaking, this wouldn't have worked at all. Not even slightly, but a man can dream, can't he?
